When starting to make musich in 1976, the four band members Robert Bauer, Uwe Schneider, Jörg Treptow and Michael Uhlich were 12-14 years old and by that the youngest successful artists in Germany.
After splitting up in 1982, the Teens had a comeback in 1996, re-recording some of their singles and creating some new. After that year, several members were replaced, and in 2002 the last of the Teens was seen on TV.
Dance
The Teens Lyrics

I'm watchin' a band that's way too slow
I'm feelin' fine from beer and whine
But this damn place is a waste of my time
Let's go, alright!
Come dance with me
Fuck you! Come dance with me
I'm feelin' fine cause I fuckin' lost my mind
I'm feeling real mean and getting obscene
I'll grab the first partner that I see
I'll grab him by the arm and swing him around
Then pull his hair and drag him to the ground
Let's go, alright!
Come dance with me
Fuck you! Come dance with me
Fuck you! Come dance with me
I'm feelin' fine cause I fuckin' lost my mind
Come dance with me
Fuck you! Come dance with me
Fuck you! Come dance with me
I'm feelin' fine cause I fuckin' lost my mind
The lyrics to The Teens' song "Dance" seem to be focused on the experience of attending a punk rock show and feeling out of place. The singer of the song feels bored watching a slow band and is only able to enjoy themselves because of the consumption of alcohol and (presumably) drugs. The song's chorus is a repeated invitation to dance, which could be interpreted as an attempt to feel more connected to the experience of being at the show or to counteract the singer's feelings of boredom and frustration.
The lyrics take a dark turn in the second verse, which describes the singer becoming "mean" and "obscene" and physically assaulting someone they see at the show. It's possible to interpret this as a manifestation of the singer's inner turmoil and feelings of aggression, which are bubbling up in response to the disaffecting experience of being in a space that they don't feel comfortable in. Alternatively, it could be seen as a critique of the punk scene itself, and the ways in which it can become a breeding ground for harmful behavior and aggression.
Overall, the lyrics to "Dance" evoke a feeling of alienation and frustration that will likely be familiar to anyone who's ever attended a concert or event that they didn't feel fully invested in. The repeated invitation to dance is both an attempt to cope with these feelings and a reflection of the singer's desire to connect with others, even if it's through something as simple as movement.
