@@SkitSkat674[Verse 1]
Like the wind
You came here running
Take the consequence of leavin'
There's no space
There's no tomorrow
There's no sent communications
[Chorus]
Check it in, check it out
Or the sun will never shine
They're a long way away
In the subways of your mind
[Verse 2]
Like the wind
You're gonna suffer
Let a smile be your companion
There's no place
And there's no sorrow
Hear the young and restless dreaming
[Chorus]
Check it in, check it out
Or the sun will never shine
They're a long way away
In the subways of your mind
[Instrumental Bridge]
[Chorus]
Check it in, check it out
Or the sun will never shine
They're a long way away
In the subways of your mind
[Outro]
Check it in, check it out
It's the summer blues
Tear it in, tear it out
It's the real excuse
Check it in, check it out
It's the summer blues
Tear it in, tear it out
It's the real excuse
Check it in, check it out
It's the summer blues
Tear it in, tear it out
It's the real excuse
Check it in, check it out
It's the summer blues
Tear it in, tear it out
It's the real excuse

Like the wind
You came here running
Take the consequense of leaving
There's no space
There's no tomorrow
There's no sense communication
Check it in, check it out
or the sun won't ever shine
Run along anyway
In the subway of your mind
Like the wind
You're going somewhere
Let a smile be your companion
There's no place
And there's no sorrow
In the young and restless dreamin'
Check it in, check it out
or the sun wont ever shine
Run along anyway
In the subway of your mind
(Instrumental)
Check it in, check it out
cause the sun will never shine
Right or wrong, anyway?
In the subway of your mind
Check it in, check it out
With the sun or the moon
Tear it in, tear it out
Its a real excuse
Tear it in, check it out
Its the summer blues
Tear it in, tear it out
Its a real excuse
Tear it in, check it out
Its the summer blues
Tear it in, tear it out
Its a real excuse
Tear it in, check it out
Its the summer blues
Tear it in, tear it out
Its a real excuse
Check it in, check it out
It's the Summer Moon
Tear it in, tear it out
It's a real excuse

(i did research and tried to listen carefully with the song slightly slowed down and perfected lyrics from a different page)
my version of the lyrics:
Like the wind, you came here runnin'
Take the consequence of living
There's no space, There's no tomorrow
There's no sense, communication
Check it in, check it out
But the sun will never shine
There's a long way away
In the subways of your mind
Like the wind
You're going somewhere
Let a smile be your companion
There's no place, and there's no sorrow
In a young and restless dreamer
Check it in, check it out
But the sun will never shine
There's a long way away
In the subways of your mind
Check it in, check it out
But the sun will never shine
There's a long way away
In the subways of your mind
Check it in, check it out
With the Sun or Moon
Tear it in, tear it out
If they're reading you
Check it in, check it out
With the Sun or Moon
Tear it in, tear it out
If they're reading you
Check it in, check it out
With the Sun or Moon
Tear it in, tear it out
If they're reading you
Check it in, check it out
With the Sun or Moon
Tear it in, tear it out
If they're reading you
Check it in, check it out

Hearing this song and reading people's interpretations of the lyrics have made me really think of the themes present here and there seems to be an overarching idea of escapism.
Of there being no sense of time and space when this person escapes to their head.
They came "running" like the wind, metaphorically meaning that they're retreating into their own thoughts, that could be centered around mental illness or drugs, particularly psychedelics like LSD. The first verse, the "subways of your mind", young and restless dreaming" all read to me like someone shutting themselves out from the world and going into a downward spiral of their own creation.
It honestly makes me think of Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd and his struggles with abusing hallucinogens, which lead to his mental deterioration.
The song reads of a very similar journey, whether or not that is an autobiographical story or is simply inspired by someone like Syd has yet to be found until we track down the actual artists
My interpretation
Like the wind
You came here running
Taking consequence, you're leaving
There's no space
There's no tomorrow
There's no sense for new division
Checking in, checking out
Cause the sun will never shine
Paranoid anyway
Just a blank of your mind
Like the wind
You're gone in summer
Let a smile be your companion
There's no place
And there's no sorrow
In the young and restless dreamer
Checking in, checking out
Cause the sun will never shine
Paranoid anyway
Just a blank of your mind x2
Checking in, checking out
It's the summer blues
They're within, they're without
It's the real excuse
