The Thorn exists (under this label – previously as Cranthorpe and Thorn) since the end of 2004. The same time we started recording “Hermitage of non divine…” album. In October 2005 we finished session and published Promo 2005 EP with hope to find a publisher for full – length material. Finally in April 2008 the band signed a contract for publishing the album with small independent company - PSYCHO RECORDS. The musical content of the album we can describe as technical thrash with death elements with quite a bit of melody and varied arrangements. “Hermitage of non-divine…” took a lot of good reviews from many trade newspapers and zines described as unconvencional, varied, ambitious, courageous, full of taste and good abilities of musicians and generally as a high musical level.

In February 2009 we recorded an EP called :The First Step To Insanity” contains three new songs. We have a material for a full-length and we are looking for someone who can help us to record and publish it.

Zespół The Thorn istnieje w obecnym składzie od końca 2004 roku. W tym też czasie rozpoczęliśmy nagrania materiału na płytę „ Hermitage of non-divine”. W październiku 2005 po ukończeniu nagrań ukazało się demo i rozpoczęły poszukiwania wydawcy całego materiału.. Udało się to dopiero w kwietniu 2008, kiedy to zespół podpisał kontrakt na wydanie płyty z małą niezależna wytwórnią PSYCHO RECORDS. Muzykę na najnowszej płycie można określić w dużym przybliżeniu jako techniczny thrash, z domieszkami death oraz innymi wpływami, z pewną dawką melodii i aranżacyjnymi różnorodnościami. Płyta „ Hermitage of non-divine” zebrała bardzo dobre recenzje w wielu serwisach i czasopismach muzycznych, określana jako nieszablonowa, różnorodna, ambitna, odważna, pełna smaczków i rasowego grania, godna polecenia i stojąca na wysokim muzycznym poziomie.

W lutym 2009 nagraliśmy EP-kę: „The First Step To Insanity” zawierającą trzy utwory. Mamy już gotowy materiał na całą płytę dlatego szukamy kogoś, kto mógłby nam pomóc w jej nagraniu i wydaniu.
