Made In America
The Throne (Jay-Z and Kanye West) Lyrics

Sweet King Martin, sweet Queen Coretta
Sweet Brother Malcolm, sweet Queen Betty
Sweet Mother Mary, sweet Father Joseph, sweet Jesus
We made it in America, sweet baby Jesus, ooh
Oh sweet baby Jesus, we made it in America
Sweet baby Jesus, ooh, oh sweet baby Jesus
We made it in America
I told my mama I was on the come up
She said "You going to school I'll give you a summer"
Then she met NO I.D, and gave me his number
Ten years later she driving a Hummer
Niggas hustle every day for a beat from Ye
What I do? Turn around gave them beats to Jay
And I'm rapping on the beats they was supposed to buy
I guess I'm getting high off my own supply
Downtown mixing fabrics trying to find the magic
Started a little blog just to get some traffic
Old folks'll tell you not to play in traffic uh
A million hits and the web crashes, damn!
South Park had 'em all laughing
Now all my niggas designing and we all swaggin'
Ignore the critics just to say we did it
This ain't no fashion show, motherfucker, we live it
Sweet King Martin, sweet Queen Coretta
Sweet Brother Malcolm, sweet Queen Betty
Sweet Mother Mary, sweet Father Joseph, sweet Jesus
We made it in America, sweet baby Jesus, ooh
Oh sweet baby Jesus, we made it in America
Sweet baby Jesus, ooh, oh sweet baby Jesus,
We made it in America
I pledge allegiance, uh, to my Grandma
For that banana pudding, our piece of Americana
Our apple pie was supplied through Arm and Hammer
Straight out the kitchen, shh don't wake Nana
Built a republic, that still stands
I'm trying to lead a nation, to leave to my little mans
Or my daughter, so I'm boiling this water
The scales was lopsided, I'm just restoring order
Hold up, here comes grandma, what's up YaYa?
What's that smell? Oh I'm just boiling some aqua
No papa, bad Santa
The streets raised me, pardon my bad manners
I got my liberty, chopping grams up
Street justice, I pray God understand us
I pledge allegiance to all the scramblers
This is the Star Spangled Banner
Sweet King Martin, sweet Queen Coretta
Sweet Brother Malcolm, sweet Queen Betty
Sweet Mother Mary, sweet Father Joseph, sweet Jesus
We made it in America, sweet baby Jesus, ooh
Oh sweet baby Jesus, we made it in America
Sweet baby Jesus, ooh, oh sweet baby Jesus,
We made it in America yes we did
Sweet baby Jesus, ooh, oh sweet baby Jesus,
We made it in America
Sweet baby Jesus, ooh, oh sweet baby Jesus,
We made it in America yes we did
The lyrics of Made in America by The Throne featuring Frank Ocean convey a sense of defiance, pride and hope in the American Dream as it relates to race and success. The song references iconic figures in Black history such as Martin Luther King Jr., Coretta Scott King, Malcolm X, Betty Shabazz, Mother Mary, Father Joseph, and Jesus, all of whom serve as a reminder of the cultural and social barriers that had to be overcome to achieve success in America. While the song mentions the struggle that Black people face in America, it celebrates the triumph of perseverance, hard work, and persistence in a country that has not always been welcoming.
One of the verses in the song references Kanye West's humble beginnings as a beat maker and his eventual rise to fame and wealth. The lyrics also remark on the power of the internet to propel people to fame and success, as evidenced by a million hits that can crash a website. The rapper also acknowledges the role of critics in doubting and undermining their success but states that their journey was not a fashion show but a way of life. The chorus of the song repeats the line "Sweet baby Jesus, ooh, oh sweet baby Jesus, we made it in America," which is a powerful statement of success and pride.
In conclusion, the song Made in America celebrates the triumph of Black Americans in a country that has been historically oppressive to them. The lyrics pay homage to iconic figures who fought for civil rights and progress in America, and they urge the listener to keep pushing through adversity and hardship to achieve success. The song's message is one of hope and determination in the face of obstacles.

*****Β Bullshit and you know it. Listen to Joel Mac's song (Made in America) there is 0 comparison between this song and Joel Mac's song. The only similaritie in the song is that they both say "made in America". Stop buying into this garbage you read.

@@sabers2th come on manβ¦ just cause you donβt like this doesnβt mean itβs bad. Kanye west is one of the most influential if not the most influential artists to walk this earth. no matter his personal decisions he has changed the rap game and more importantly the music industry and itβs sound forever. Iβm not doubting Joel Macs or anyones talent either. Actually Iβm sure heβs a great artist and I love to hear other artists sounds.. like I love Pink Floyd or nirvana or even Johnny cash.. but just cause you donβt like this sound doesnβt mean itβs not good.
