The music of The Ties was influenced by: The Hives, The Subways, The White Stripes and The Deaf.
February 2009 the band recorded their first demo at the Holland Spoor Studios in The Hague. Their album came out in March 2010, and is called "Shut Up And Get Out"
The Ties existed until july 2011, when singer and guitarist Frank Leenen stepped over to The Red Light Babys.
