TSR also had a radio program on AM radio at 11PM on the weekends with a female DJ named Jenny. She played the top 100 from whatever month she was broadcasting. The owner was Irving "Slim" Rose. He, most of the time sat on a bar stool against the wall with a cig hanging out of his mouth.
I have very happy memories of the dingy little store on the first level of the subway at Times Square, NYC. It was about 20 feet long and 1/2 that in width. Records hung from the walls, ceiling and boxes and boxes of pure New York Doo Wop. Ah those were the days, I thought they would never end, but they did.
I have all 11 CD's of Memories of Times Square Records, Some of the songs were great, some were just OK. But they were all Doo Wop. This was the only store of it kind then that just sold one genre of music, on a Saturday afternoon you waited in line to get in. God I miss those days.
Today's music sucks compared to the 50's and very early 60's.
I've Got A Feeling
The Timetones Lyrics

Oh yeah, oh yeah.
I've got a feeling, a feeling I can't hide
Oh no, oh no, oh no.
Yeah, I've got a feeling.
Oh please believe me, I'd hate to miss the train
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Oh no, oh no, oh no.
Yeah, I've got a feeling, yeah.
All these years I've been wandering around,
Wondering how come nobody told me
All that I was looking for was somebody
Who looked like you.
Ev'rybody had a hard year
Ev'rybody had a good time
Ev'rybody had a wet dream,
Ev'rybody saw the sunshine
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Ev'rybody had a good year,
Ev'rybody let their hair down,
Ev'rybody pulled their socks up,
Ev'rybody put their foot down.
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
The Timetones's "I've Got A Feeling" is a song that is about the power of love and the overwhelming feeling that comes with it. The lyrics of the song convey a sense of longing and desire for someone special. The singer starts by saying that they have a feeling deep inside that they cannot hide. They seem to be overwhelmed by this feeling and cannot help but express it through the song. The singer also says that they would hate to miss the train, suggesting that they do not want to miss this opportunity to love and be loved.
The second verse of the song talks about the singer's search for love, and how they have been wandering around for years trying to find someone who looks like the person they are singing to. The verse conveys a sense of hopelessness and desperation, implying that finding love is not an easy task. However, the chorus provides a glimmer of hope, with the singer saying that they have a feeling that they can't deny.
The final verse of the song seems to be a reflection on the past year, with the singer saying that "Everybody had a hard year" but also had a good time. The verse implies that life is filled with highs and lows, but we all should take the time to enjoy the good times and appreciate them. The song ends with the chorus, with the singer expressing once again that they have a feeling that they cannot hide.
