"That's Not My Name" rose to the top of the U.K. charts in May 2008, the same month that the duo's debut album, We Started Nothing, appeared. The Ting Tings spent the rest of 2008 and a large part of 2009 touring in support of the album, which eventually sold over two million copies worldwide, won the 2009 Ivor Novello Award for Best Album, and earned the group a Best New Artist Grammy nomination that December. Early in 2010, De Martino and White moved to Berlin to work on songs for their second album. Inspired by the city's atmosphere and the cold weather, they went in a darker, more electronic direction with their new songs. In August 2010, the Ting Tings offered a taste of their new material, premiering the single "Hands" -- which was mixed by Calvin Harris -- on BBC Radio 1 and officially releasing it that October. After extensive touring and over eight months recording in Germany and Spain, in March 2012 the Ting Tings offered their sophomore album, Sounds from Nowheresville, a collection of songs inspired by the exuberant freedom of the Beastie Boys' classic Paul's Boutique. Two years later, third album Super Critical surfaced. Its October release date was preceded by the April release of first single "Wrong Club."

Hey, If you can't move your feet
You wanna stand like a woman
You wanna stand with me
If you don't seem to fit in
You wanna take some cover
You wanna leave with me
Giving it up and fly away
Did I ever tell you about the good times that you get
Don't know if you got another day
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey! I'm in the wrong club
Listening to this shit
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey! I'm in the wrong life, someone get me out of it
(Oh oh oh oh)
And if you wanna come in
We can sit on boxes
I keep everything
Oh, and if you're standing in the corner
You can tell me you don't wanna talk
And I tell you how it's always been
Did I ever tell you about the way I wanna feel
Giving it up and fly away
And did I ever tell you about the good times that you get
Don't know if you got another day
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey! I'm in the wrong club
Listening to this shit
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey! I'm in the wrong life, someone get me out of it
(Oh oh oh oh)
I ain't moving though the beat is on
Everyone's gonna let me know it
Get me out somewhere I belong
Come with me, we can over throw it
What's the matter with the crazy fool
Keep it in or I can go and show it
No DJ never saved my life
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey! I'm in the wrong club
Listening to this shit
(Dj never saved my life)
I'm in the wrong life, someone get me out of it
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey! I'm in the wrong club
Listening to this shit
I'm in the wrong life, someone get me out of it
And everyone's gonna let me know it
Come with me, we can over throw it
Keep it in or I can go and show it
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey!
No DJ never saved my life
And everyone's gonna let me know it
Come with me, we can over throw it
Keep it in or I can go and show
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey!
And everyone's gonna let me know it
Come with me, we can over throw it
Keep it in or I can go and show it
(Oh oh oh oh)
Hey!
The Ting Tings's song Wrong Club is a fun and upbeat anthem about feeling out of place in one's own life. The verses talk about wanting to escape and find a new groove with someone else who also feels like they don't fit in. The chorus, with its catchy "Hey! I'm in the wrong club" refrain, is a call to action to get out of that rut and find a new life that better suits one's aspirations.
The lyrics are both relatable and empowering, with the singer encouraging the listener to take charge of their own destiny and break out of their current situation. There's a sense of urgency in the repetition of phrases like "Did I ever tell you about the way I wanna feel/Giving it up and fly away," emphasizing the need for change and growth in life.
Overall, Wrong Club is a feel-good song that encourages its listeners to take control of their own lives and not settle for anything less than what they truly want.

The Ting Tings are my best kept secret. Such an under appreciated duo. For me they capture the true creativity when it comes to being an independent artist. <3<3<3 much love.

at one time they were popular, but that was a few albums ago. Since then, they've been pretty low-key. Nothing wrong with that. I think it keeps them from having to conform. :)
