1) The Tubes is a San Francisco-based theater rock band popular in the mid 1970s and early 1980s. Their eponymous 1975 debut album included the single "White Punks on Dope," while their 1983 single "She's a Beauty" was a top-10 U.S. hit and its music video was frequently played in the early days of MTV.
Known for their live performances that combined music performances, the band used many different unique costumes (in some acts they wore leotards with painted on nipples and pubic hair). They made satires of life in the USA; the media, consumerism, and politics. They were often banned in the Midwest USA.
The Tubes continue performing live, with several members of the original band still in the touring lineup.
2) The Tubes is a five-piece Garage Funk band from Switzerland. Brainchild of Harry Tuttle and Barbie Tube, and formed in 2006, they released their first recordings in 2007.

Island
Trust me now
Trust me now
Don't let me be alone
Stay in my eyes
Trust me now
Trust me now
Don't let me be alone
Stay in my eyes
Don't let me be alone
The Tubes' song "Eyes" is a romantic ballad celebrating the beauty of the female form, and the irresistible allure of a woman's eyes. The verses describe the singer's intense fascination with his lover, as he watches her move on the beach, in the sand, in the car and in the house. He is entranced by her and wants to explore her further. In the chorus, he expresses his amazement at her beauty and confesses his love for her. He cannot resist her, and she makes him feel ready for anything. Even though he feels shy around her, he believes that she loves him, and he wants to give her his heart and love.
In many ways, the song is an ode to the power of sexuality and desire, as well as the deep emotional connection that can exist between two people. The lyrics suggest that the singer is consumed by his love for his partner and that he cannot resist her allure, no matter how hard he tries. This sense of romantic obsession is supported by the music, which features a lush, sweeping melody and a soulful, passionate vocal performance.
