Music
The Twenties Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Oh, this is reggae music
don’t stop this music
‘cause this is reggae music
don’t stop this music

O reggae é o som que pulsa no coração
Que me faz sentir a positiva vibração
Cantando sempre, irmãs e irmãos
Cabeça erguida, continue na missão

O Reggae é o som que pulsa no coração
Que me faz sentir a positiva vibração
Dançando sempre, irmãs e irmãos
Cabeça erguida, oh lord

Oh, this is reggae music
don’t stop this music
‘cause this is reggae music
don’t stop this music

Oh, this is reggae music
don’t stop this music
‘cause this is reggae music
don’t stop this music

I have to comment on a couple of things: "Embraceable You" by George Gershwin was written in 1928 but not published til 1930 when it was introduced in Broadway's "Girl Crazy" by Ginger Rogers. It Don't Mean A Thing ... is a 1931 song - music by Duke Ellington, lyrics by Irving Mills. The Lindhoppers shown dancing weren't around until 1935 at the Savoy Ballroom; the clip shown was from 1941 film, "Hallzapoppin'". 1920's dances: Charleston, The Baltimore, The Cakewalk, Tango, Waltz, etc.

I thought the first tune was a little bit different from the others. It sounded very 1910s and I heard alot of music from that time.
