There's A Girl In The Corner
The Twilight Sad Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And you're not coming back
And you're not coming back from this
She's not coming back
And she's not coming back from this

There's a girl in the corner
And she's crying for you
Gonna die for you
She's not coming back
She's not coming back from this
And you're not coming back
And you're not coming back again

You said you'd leave me and I'll forget
I'm more than one and I see how it fights
You thought you want me but you just forget
You rolled in on but not too far
And you're not coming back
And you're not coming back from this

To all the boys you knew,
And all the ??? outside, outside,
Outside, outside, outside

She's not coming back
And she's not coming back again
You say you feel it too much
You say you feel it too much
She's not coming back
She's not coming back

She's not coming back
And she's not coming back for me

Just heard them live in Tampa with the cure. This song by far is one of the best I've heard live in a long time, you just feel it in ur soul. I've never even heard this band before. Now I'm very interested to hear more. They are amazing live for anyone that does listen to them.

Do they still do the wall of sound thing where everyone is placed next to each other?

This song is really special to me. I first heard it during the start of my senior year of high school. It was my go to song, but somehow I forgot about it. I have some good memories tied to this like my first and last homecoming. I wore an off the shoulder Merlot dress and went with one of my best friends. After homecoming he drove to Norms and we ate pancakes. I remember going on a field trip to a TV taping, It was rainy and I sat with a girl I used to be good friends with. we rode a school bus at 9 pm. She had fallen asleep and her head was on my shoulder. It was nice. I was a waitress at a wedding venue and I loved working every Saturday. The venue also held concerts and other events. I was the only one they trusted enough to handle cash. I got to talk to a lot of people there, I genuinely enjoyed waitressing. The venue itself was gorgeous. It was up in the mountains and there were a lot of trees.Nighttime was my favorite because the stars in the sky would reflect onto the lake. Trees had purple lights pointed up at them. I met a guy and I did things with him that I had never done with anyone else. We met up after school on Halloween and we made out on a bench. I was Jigsaw and he was a caveman. He had my red face paint allover his tan skin and it was the prettiest thing. I had serious feelings for him, but he wasn't interested in a relationship. So I played along and did what he wanted just so that I could be close to him. it sucked. I'm 10 days away from graduating after high school I will be studying mortuary science in the fall. I am sad about it. I'm going to miss my friends. It feels like everyone decided to come out of their shells during senior year, i am now good friends with people I have never talked to before senior year. I'm going to miss all of my teachers, but i'll probably miss my German teacher the most. he's like a grandpa to me. I'm going to miss my friend groups hangout spot, In the E building behind the environmental science class. My four years at this school were good, I wish I had been more involved before senior year but I'm glad I was able to participate. Cheers to class of 2018
