Die Today
The Txlips Band Lyrics

Do you feel the same way?
You say most beautiful things
You say significant things
About my life that mean absolutely nothing to me
If we die today
At least I'll be in your arms
And crumbling like today
I'm coming back to your arms
Do you feel
Do you feel the same?
Do you feel
Do you feel the same?
You say most beautiful things
You say significant things
About my life that mean absolutely nothing to me
If we die today
If you die today
At least I'll be in your arms
And crumbling like today
I'm coming back to your arms
You say most beautiful things
You say significant things
About my life that mean absolutely nothing to me
If we die today
If you die today
At least I'll be in your arms
And crumbling like today
I'm coming back to your arms
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel again?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
You say most beautiful things
You say significant things
About my life that mean absolutely nothing to me
If we die today
If you die today
At least I'll be in your arms
And crumbling like today
I'm coming back to your arms
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel again?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
Do you feel it?
The lyrics of "Die Today" by The Txlips Band provoke deep contemplation of one's inner self and their connections to others. The song can be interpreted as an exploration of the different meanings that we attach to relationships, life, and death. The repeated question, "Do you feel like you did before?" suggests a sense of nostalgia or longing for something that was once present but may have been lost over time. The lyrics then portray the singer's disappointment with the significant things and beautiful things that the other person is saying, which mean absolutely nothing to them. This could be interpreted as a reflection of how outward appearances don't always represent the true nature of a relationship.
The chorus of the song shifts to an acknowledgment of mortality, with the repeated lines, "If we die today, if you die today, at least I'll be in your arms." This suggests that in times of ultimate vulnerability and uncertainty, the comfort of having someone close to us is invaluable. The lyrics also suggest that the fear of death can be overpowered by the connections we make in this life. The last lines repeat the question "Do you feel it?" and this could be a reference to the meaningful connections we make with others and to the emotions that we experience.
Overall, "Die Today" by The Txlips Band is a poem-like song that explores the complexities of relationships and the fear of death. The lyrics invite the listener to think deeper about the impact of meaningful human connections, both in life and death.

I LOVE the Txlips!! ( I'm from Atlanta, makes me proud of my city of origin β€οΈ). Brilliant virtuosos, Guitar Gabby great shredder, the band is a powerful, throbbing synergism, everyone's talent is expressed so uniquely and they're so psychically connected and harmonious. I love how they just gracefully pay homage to all the styles-Dark Metal, punk, acid rock, Suzy Quattro, Detroit techno,... But they don't linger on any of them. Great production!! A sign of real accomplishment and maturity in their craft is that they uniquely combine them all in their palate to create something explosively original on the scene!! π€βπΈπ₯
