Nic6029 You must first earn a commission as an Officer through OCS, ROTC or USMA
-Then you must be selected for a branch that the Ranger Regiment accepts (Infantry, Signal, QM, AG, MI...are just a few)
-You must go to your first assignment as an Officer and be successful if I am not mistaken.
-Once you have some experience, you apply to go to RASP II. It will be at least a year before you will be able to apply if not longer
-If you are selected at RASP II to serve in the Regiment and ARE NOT Ranger qualified(A Ranger School graduate)...you will be sent to Ranger School(note: this is NOT the case for those going through RASP I)
-You will then be assigned within the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Unless things changed in the past few years. This is what you would be doin brother.

We in the Air Force generally thought that if your plane continued to function, it was better to stay in it.
Only when the rubber bands are completely gone does one entertain the possibility of separating from the airframe, though the chance of bringing her in still remains.

Crying my eyes out. It's like this song was wrote for me. My dad was airborne infantry, he just wasn't ranger lol. This makes me think of him so much. We lost him in 03' in Iraq. It just amazes me at some of the idiots who post negative comments on here. I get upset pretty fast when they make insulting comments about our military. Our son, Spc 4 Christopher Wyatt Mccullough was in Iraq. He died Oct 20, 2010, hes buried in Salisbury NC national cemetary. It was even harder to tell his sister Linda, that her brother died on Oct 20, 2010. His sister Lindas birthday is Oct 20th, as close as they were it was one of the hardest things to tell his sister that her brother had died on her birthday. We called him Wyatt, he was 26 years old. I ets out of Army in january 1972, and Wyatt only wanted to be a soldier all his life. Im very proud of him, not a day goes by that hes not on our mind or brought up some how in conversation. He was with the 396th med unit. Last thing he told us was if something happened to him that he wanted to be buried with his military brothers and sisters. In the Army i seen a lot of my friends die next to me, It was hard to deal with, but is devastating when its your own family. Thank each and everyone of you who have stood up and served this country, We are proud of you and owe you so much for your sacrafices you made. Wyatt are so proud of you and love and miss you so much. If you have negative comments , please dont express them on here, do it else where.

I did not serve , I became a Cop for 26 years in NJ and my son serves as a young Cop in Virginia now . I cant imagine the horror of finding out your son died , and I worry about mine . +Jd Saunders Same here he died before i was born so i never got to meet him and my two great uncles who also served but they died when I was young and both were in different states and i have are pictures, uniforms (items like bags and that some ribbons) my grandfathers dogtags and mom said he never talked about his service other than being pulled from the front before he could recover from donating blood which my mom thinks is what caused his heart attack.

I could barely hold back the tears when I heard the line “If I could chose to go back again, I’d die lying there next to him.” I didn’t serve, so I cannot even begin to fathom the feeling of seeing your best friend dying on the battlefield. It truly speaks volumes about the love our soldiers have for each other that they will fight through the jaws of death for a fallen teammate. This is such a beautiful and touching songs! I remember when she was on America Idol, she was one of my favorites. So proud to have this song out. Kristy you have a great heart, I listen to this song so many times. It is bittersweet. This song takes me back to those I served with, and so many brave brave men. This song is the best song ever written. I have heard this song at least 200 times, and even though it really hits home I cannot stop listening to it. It makes me miss those who I served with. A great tribute to all of our veterans, Army Air Force, Navy Marines, Guard, Coast Guard. Thank you all. WE are who we are because we have men who serve.

We all hope he makes it out alive. My thanks for his service. I also served in Army, Rangers, was most proud times of my life. Almost 45 years ago, still holding on to memories. This song is my favorite.

Airborne Rangers are not infantry, we are some of the most elite soldieers the Army has, the only soldiers above us are Green Berets and Delta Force, would you call them infantry . We are spec ops specialists who get jobs done that noone else wants to touch, infantry won't touch what we three groups are called on to do and 99% ofwhat we do is classified. So please don't insult us by calling us by calling us infantry.

Just got back from my third deployment. As soon as I got in my car to head back to Georgia to see my family (my little girl Kaylee especially) this song came on. I have no shame in saying that I cried like a baby. People don't understand that war is never over for us and we never forget those brothers that we lost. God bless the singer of this song. I was proud to serve but I did not see combat due to an accident in training (happens to have been parachute training-chute failed)-love the use of parachute silk in video background. beautiful song matched only by your beauty and lovely voice. continues success

Take cover and then return fire. If need be, shoot while moving to cover. No need to die for no reason. Proper tactics prevent needless deaths. Square your chest up towards incoming threats if it comes down to that.
