In "Dystopia" by The Underground Youth, the lyrics paint a bleak picture of a world where passion and love are suppressed by a society that values conformity above all else. The singer describes how those who dare to feel the fires of passion are backwards and reminiscent of Casanova's god. The lyrics suggest that society fears the power of love and tries to stifle it under the guise of fake beliefs that only drive people towards sanity.
As the singer attempts to break free from this oppressive society, they are dragged back into delirium by their old friend Verlaine (possibly a reference to the French poet Paul Verlaine, who struggled with mental illness throughout his life). The singer laments the loss of the exotic magic they were taught to believe in, which only serves to dampen the flames of their passion. Although the singer longs to be heard and stand up for themselves, they are ultimately silenced and their words killed.
Overall, the lyrics suggest a disillusionment with modern society and a longing for a more passionate and authentic way of living.

The idea of an exotic and mythical kind of magic that you were taught to believe in,
just dampens the flames of what you my friend could one day hope to achieve,
But in reality, it only extinguishes the fire of your potential and dreams,
Given a chance to stand up high and let yourself be heard,
Even if you are given an opportunity to speak out and make yourself known,
you have no chance,
There is no chance for you to be heard and recognized,
they silence you and kill your every word.
As they actively suppress and silence your voice, preventing you from expressing yourself fully.
