Somewhere I'd never have known
Right at the back of my head
It hit me like a beam of light
Hit me like a hook of the right
And I could've fell to the floor
'Cause you talk to me and it comes off the walls
So let's go to bed before you say something real
Let's go to bed before you say how you feel
'Cause it's you
Oh, it's always you
Oh, I always knew
Oh, it's you
I try my best to unwind
Nothing on my mind
But you
Oblivious to all that I'll owe
I'm hangin' on to what I don't know
So let's go to bed before you say something real
Let's go to bed before you say how you feel
'Cause it's you
Oh, it's always you
Oh, I always knew
Oh, it's you
Yeah, it's you
Oh, it's always you
Oh, I always knew
Oh, it's you
Well, it's you
Oh, it's always you
Oh, I always knew
Oh, it's you
Oh, I knew
Oh, I always knew
Yes, I always knew
Oh, it's you
The Vaccines' song "I Always Knew" appears to be a reflection on the uncertainty and confusion that can come with romantic relationships. In the opening lines, the singer describes a feeling deep within their bones that they never knew could exist. This newfound feeling hits them suddenly and with great force, leaving them almost dizzy and prone to falling. This seems to be a metaphor for the suddenness and intensity of romantic love, which can come as a shock to those unaccustomed to such feelings.
The verses that follow seem to describe the singer's attempts to deal with this new emotion. They try to quiet their mind and focus on the person causing these feelings, but at the same time are hesitant to fully embrace them. This is reflected in the chorus, where the singer acknowledges that the other person is the source of their turmoil, but is still hesitant to fully engage with them.
The lines "Let's go to bed before you say something real / Let's go to bed before you say how you feel" add further emphasis to the singer's reluctance to fully open themselves up to the other person. They seem to be afraid of what might happen if they let their guard down and reveal their true feelings.
Overall, "I Always Knew" speaks to the complicated nature of romantic relationships, where feelings of love and desire can be mixed with fear and uncertainty.

I understand the video now !
It's the stages of relationships.
Firstly, the thrill, the fun, the climax of every little things.
Secondly, it dulls down slowly.
And lastly, the emotion parts ways like the couple do.
Oh ! The epiphany !

It's subjective. Entirely up to the listener as to what the lyrics portray to them.
