Che se l'è tantu al g'ha do stell
Senza vestii, senza cuvèrt
L'è l'ünic che da Nòcc l'è vèrt
Cumè l'è frecc in quest'hotel
E par scaldass gh'è dumà la pell
Strengiala fort cun i tò man
Specium che ul Suu ris'ciara i nüm
E l'è inscì che la deef nà
Denta chì l'è la mia cà
Quest'hotel
Anca senza respirà
Sèraa denta in dal nost fiaa
Do stell
Sa fann mia scünt in quest'hotel
O sa paga o fö di ball
E ta devat mia pagà par me
Se devi nà l'è inscì che l'è…
Vegn sü de me e varda fö
Da la finestra dal tò cöör

E vedaret un mar da blö
Ma tal seet che prima o pö
Rivaran i stell
E semm tütt già denta chì

Chi è che al pianc e chi è che al riit
Chi è che al diis che lü l'è bun
E pö gh'è gent che möör de famm
E al g'ha dai gnanca una man

Però lü l'ha mai rubaa…

Toc da merda in cravata

Da quest'hotel
Do Stell Hotel...
The Vad Vuc's song Do Stell Hotel is a poignant depiction of the rough reality of poverty and desperation. The lyrics describe an overcrowded, two-star hotel where people are forced to stay without clothes or blankets, and they have to hug themselves tightly to keep warm. The muffled cry in this hotel is the only sound that comes out of it. This hotel is the only place that some people can call home as they have no choice but to live in its splendorless rooms. The mood of the song turns melancholic as the singer invites the listener to join him in observing the sky and the sea from the hotel windows, reminding them that the stars will eventually disappear from their view.
The song highlights the struggle to survive that many people face daily; those who cannot afford to pay for their stay in the hotel often have to work as slaves or end up begging for food. The singer speaks of the class divide within the people who live in the hotel, with some being able to afford things like bread while others cannot. The Vad Vuc tells us that this difference in class makes the ones with money feel superior to the rest, which only deepens the divide.
Overall, the song invites us to look beyond the fancy representation and glamorous image of hotels and look at the lives of the people forced to stay there due to poverty.
