The lyrics of The Vampires' song Don't Fight It offer a surreal and abstract portrayal of emotions and experiences that are difficult to put into words. The song seems to be sung from the perspective of someone who has gone through some major hardship and is trying to move on from it while also remaining afraid of facing it again. The singer describes how they've dealt with the situation before and are not dwelling on it, but at the same time, they're avoiding it by ignoring certain thoughts and ideas that they could otherwise explore.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of relationships and intimacy, but in a way that is both playful and nonchalant. The singer seems to be indifferent towards sexual relationships and is not interested in pursuing one at the moment. Instead, they seem to be focused on their own personal growth and development. The overall message of the song seems to be that while we may encounter difficult situations and have moments of fear and uncertainty, it's important to keep moving forward and focus on the things that matter most to us.
Overall, The Vampires' song Don't Fight It is a thought-provoking and introspective piece that offers a unique perspective on emotions and relationships. The lyrics are somewhat abstract and open to interpretation, but they convey a sense of determination and focus on personal growth that is both inspiring and relatable.
