Sweet silver bells,
All seem to say,
Throw cares away
Christmas is here,
Bringing good cheer,
To young and old,
Ding dong ding dong
Their Christmas song
With joyful ring
All caroling
One seems to hear
Words of good cheer
From everywhere
Filling the air
Oh how they pound,
Raising the sound,
O'er hill and dale,
Telling their tale,
Gaily they ring
While people sing
Songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
On on they send ,
On without end,
Their joyful tone
To every home
Hark how the bells,
Sweet silver bells,
All seem to say,
Throw cares away
All seem to say,
Throw cares away
Hark how the bells,
Sweet silver bells,
All seem to say,
Throw cares away
Christmas is here,
Bringing good cheer,
To young and old,
Meek and the bold,
Ding dong ding dong
Their Christmas song
With joyful ring
All caroling
One seems to hear
Words of good cheer
From everywhere
Filling the air
Oh how they pound,
Raising the sound,
O'er hill and dale,
Telling their tale,
Oh how they pound,
Raising the sound,
O'er hill and dale,
Telling their tale,
Gaily they ring
While people sing
Songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here,
Gaily they ring
While people sing
Songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas,
On on they send ,
On without end,
Their joyful tone
To every home
On on they send ,
On without end,
Their joyful tone
To every home
On on they send ,
On without end,
Their joyful tone
To every home
Ding Dong Ding Dong
The lyrics to The Vienna Boys Choir & London Symphony Orchestra's classic Christmas song, Carol of the Bells, paint a picturesque scene of the holiday season. The song begins by describing the sound of the bells, which are sweet and silver in color, ringing in unison to "throw cares away." The arrival of Christmas is announced by the bells, spreading good cheer to everyone regardless of their age or temperament. The sound of the bells fills the air, and the words of "good cheer" can be heard from "everywhere." The bells "pound" and "raise the sound" over hill and dale, telling the story of the holiday as they ring and people sing songs of good cheer. Finally, the song ends as it began, with the bells sending their joyful tone on and on, to every home.

Such bone chillingly beautiful voices. I can imagine a choir of seraphim sounding pretty much like this. Absolutely ephemeral.

That's the point. Boys choirs are made up of boys (who have the voice) who sing the Soprano and Alto parts of music. They are historic and there are some pieces of music written ESPECIALLY for boys choirs. I have had the opportunity of seeing 1/4 of the choir (because they are expected to do 300 concerts a year) and just that part alone, blew my mind. They sound AMAZING. I, myself, am 14 and my adam's apple hasn't fully grown in yet. So, I sing alto in a cathedral choir with a lot of other boys.

It’s always been my moms dream to see the Vienna boys choir in person during Christmas. Something I’ve always wanted to give her but never had the money to
