The Voice's song Never seems to be a statement against COVID-19 and the measures taken to limit its spread. The lyrics suggest that the virus is causing frustration and isolation, with people stuck at home and not able to socialize as much as they'd like. There are also references to the mistrust of the vaccine and government control, with lines like "genau so wi bim impfstoff so viu isch klar" (exactly like with the vaccine so much is unclear). The chorus, "Never sorry fuck you corona whatcha gonna do / Never sorry we know the history it's nothing new / Never sorry we will never give up never ever," is a defiant rallying cry against the pandemic.
The verses also touch on issues like police presence, mask-wearing, and protests against COVID-19 restrictions. The lines "Mir hei hiä so viu hiufspolizischtä / Euch isch doch numä längwilig vorder chischtä" (There are so many police officers here / You're just bored in front of the stage) suggest frustration with law enforcement efforts to enforce COVID-19 guidelines, while other lines mention protests being tear-gassed and the question of whether it's really necessary to wear masks.
Overall, the song is a passionate expression of frustration, confusion, and defiance in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. It touches on a number of specific issues related to the pandemic but also expresses broader themes of mistrust and skepticism towards government control and what some may see as unnecessary restrictions on personal freedom.

This is basically Brian Justin Crum's version. But Brian Justin Crum does it much better ...
This fellow has a pretty voice. But he needs to work on:
a) breath control – it's very poor, even allowing for nerves which he may or may not have had
b) changing register from chest voice to falsetto – it's clunky, not smooth, and often sounds like he's doing falsetto because he can't sing that high in a chest voice, even though he can
c) intonation – he's flat here and there, even though he goes on to sing higher notes in the next phrase.
And I feel the Mariah Carey-style embellishments were unfortunate, especially at the end.
I feel I understand why no judges turned.
Joe Rei
I'm amazed! That not a single judge turned around. That was a tough song and his own rendition was amazing
Peggy Miller
This is a valuable lesson for anyone. When you recognize something as beautiful or significant, don't rely on someone else to validate your feelings. Trust your instincts.
MoonBear
very true we are hell-bent on receiving people's validation..you can be good at something and still get passed over and that is still okay does not change the fact that you are gifted
V Heth
100% agree!
Debbie Zaler
I can’t believe no one turned for him. I could listen to him all day!
Wendy Hardin
Same here. His voice is amazing, stupendous, wonderful. And those judges are 👎
Teofel John
They thought it was a woman so they expected more. But it turns out a man, so there you go , you can see the shock in their faces, how could a male have that range 🤣.
Debbie Zaler
@Teofel John agree! Their mistake. He could have won!
Tabitha Sikora
Look Up his time on Alter Ego....he slayed I will Always Love You!
imnadreamworld
Big disappointment that none of them turned. His voice was INCREDIBLE and that rendition was stunning.
