Steve Kramer was the heart behind the band, and the primary songwriter. A visual artist as well as a composer and arranger, Kramer's quirky, somewhat tortured outlook on life informs many of the songs. Upon disbanding the Wallets, Steve and his manager Bob Hest have gone on to become extremely succesful composers of commercial jingles, both locally and nationally.
