Writing their lyrics on broken typewriters in cubicles at a fictional corporation, Busdriver and Radioinactive come together to deliver Touch Type/Winthorp & Winthorp - the first Mush Records seven-inch offering. The release is a prelude to the full-length the duo has completed for Mush with producer, Daedelus. The tracks feature spot-on production by Paris Zax and Daddy Kev, and the twisted lyrics and machine-gun vocal stylings originated and perfected in Los Angeles.

I love the restraint this song shows. The first time listening through, I felt like I was missing something, because there's usually a lot of cool complexity in their songwriting. But the more you listen, the more you realize the simplicity was a deliberate choice that really let the melody and the depth of the lyrics shine through.
It shows a lot of maturity in their songwriting - being able to nail both sides of that coin - and it's a big reason why I love them so much.

I 100% agree with you. I actually listened to the acoustic version first and was blown away by the swelling drama and emotion in that version. Listening to this I realized that the two versions are so different in that this one is simplistic to the point of relaxed beauty as opposed to the emotion of the acoustic version.
