The band was fronted by John Denney with his brother Dix on guitar, bassist Dave Trout, drummer Nickey "Beat" Alexander and another guitarist Cliff Roman. They were originally an art-rock band formed in 1976, and were featured in a news article featuring punk rock groups in Time magazine and so it stuck. They had a very strong D.I.Y. ethic. They dressed in anything they could get their hands on; bags, straps, chains, etc. David Horvitz is noted as having calling the band's fashion "Changes quicker than a cheetah."

They broke up in 1981, but reunited at various times, including to record the 1990 album Condor. A 2004 reunion includes in the band's lineup Circle Jerks bassist Zander Schloss.

Damn. Cliff Roman of The Weirdos was my magnet coordinator at holmes middle school back in the day. Was always getting sent to his office for not complying with the teacher. Once I started to play guitar, he was telling me about the shows they played in hollywood with the germs, DK, Black flag and the whole scene. Crazy that his music is in GTAV now.

I was in a heavily armored truck with 2 other friends on GTA 5 online. We had a 4 store wanted level and were being shot at all different directions. We were firing back at them with our guns. I suddenly turned the radio on to this station and this song came just at the perfect time. It was so amazing I laughed as we shot our way out.

so this is what happened.one day me and my cousin were playing gta online.we go to harmony to rob a store.l killed the cashier,grabbed the money(even though he wanted to but hey idc lol xD),and we drove off on his bike(we're part of a mc).l was driving so l turned on the radio looking for a song and l was switching radios until l found this.we listened to it while driving on the mountains of the senora desert doing flips and 360s on the bike and one cop did a 360 and his car exploded

I had just stolen a fighter jet for the first time when this song came on. They sent 2 jets after me and we raced through Raton Canyon and battled to this song. It was so epic.

I just bought a new jeep, an older 2 door Wrangler. The first hundred miles I put on it were done listening to Channel X.

I don't think you've lived until you've blasted through through the desert, yelling incoherently about the Lost MC, with Life Of Crime so loud that it echoes off the hills. I fucking love this song.
