Well I'm already over you now.
Keep my feeling away.
Keep my feeling away.
And I'm already over you, okay, alright.
You didn't break my smile.
You didn't break my fall.
Keep my feeling away.
Keep my feeling away.
And I'm already over you, okay, alright.
Oh don't talk. Don't think about it.
Don't think about the bridge. Don't fall.
Oh don't talk. Don't think about it.
Don't think about the bridge. Don't fall.
Oh don't start. Don't think about it.
Don't think about the bridge. Don't fall.
Don't start. Don't think about it.
Don't think about the bridge. Don't fall.
About the bridge don't fall.
About the bridge don't fall.
About the bridge don't fall.
The Whigs's song "O.K Alright" seems to be about moving on from a past relationship. The singer is addressing their ex-partner, telling them that they are already over them and have been able to keep their feelings at bay. The first two lines of the song, "Well if you talk too loud and if you walk too loud. Well I'm already over you now," seem to suggest that the singer has become indifferent to their ex-partner's actions and is no longer affected by them. The repetition of "Keep my feeling away" reinforces this notion that the singer is guarding themselves against any potential heartache.
The chorus ("Oh don't talk. Don't think about it. Don't think about the bridge. Don't fall.") seems to warn the ex-partner against reaching out or trying to rekindle the relationship. The "bridge" can be interpreted as a metaphor for reconciliation or the idea of "crossing over" back into the relationship. The warning to not think about or cross the bridge implies that the singer is content with their decision to move on and doesn't want to be tempted back into an unhealthy situation.
Overall, "O.K Alright" is a song about letting go and moving on. The repetitive nature of the lyrics and the upbeat tempo of the song suggest that the singer has achieved a sense of closure and is ready to let go of the past.
