1) A british indie rock band.
2) A norwegian indie rock band.
3) A Korean post-punk band.
1) Cheap guitars, stand-up drumming and a band who genuinely gave a fuck about something – the Williams formed in a grim northern town in 1987. Scunthorpe in 1987 was like any other industrial town, local bands played local public houses and the Williams didn’t want to be part of that. Brought up on independent labels, sha la la flexis, 60s classics and throwaway pop The Williams wanted to be part of something bigger. This unlikely trio consisting of brothers Alan (guitar and singing) and Paul Fairnie (two drums and a cymbal and most of the words) and bassist Ian Cummings [he sings too] were pretty much hated by the muso scene of Scunthorpe. It was always about attitude – they couldn’t play that well but managed to get three songs together for their first gig at the Baths Hall in august 1987, from then on they set about playing with most of the burgeoning indie scene. Alan’s fanzine Get That Anorak Off helped launch the flexi "I Know I’m Nothing Special to You", even getting airplay on the John Peel programme (and they thought he’d choose Esmerelda’s Kite) and they built on their reputation as enthusiastic upstarts to go on and play with Pale Saints, The Telescopes, The Sainsburys, St. Christopher, Sea Urchins and eventually a six date tour with Primal Scream by then adding additional guitarist Rob Dillam (who later joined Adorable) Having seen their sound mutate from chiming guitars and simple lyrics to a more sustained assault of noise (blame My Bloody Valentine and Dinosaur) the Williams decided a change of direction was in order in late 1990. They changed their name to Sunburst, then Super Electric,[who have their own music uploaded somewhere on this site] they found the harmonies of Brian Wilson, the groove of Sly Stone and the attitude of the Who – invented Acid Modernism and promptly self destructed. Some times Northern towns get their revenge. "I Know I'm Nothing Special To You" is available on The Sound of Leamington Spa Volume 4 on Firestation Records.
2) The Williams - Of Norwegian origin, or more precisely; Norhern Norway. Though now situated in Oslo, The Williams inspiration and temperament has still much of the arctic character. As the music is in the contemporary lo-fi indie genre, things are done simple, with a clean touch. Everything is also done with real instruments and sounds. And as the lyrics goes darkways with regular people's everyday situations, you might think of...? Influences is basically all good music. The songs that made us what we are; the songs that saved our lives. The Williams is fronted by lead singer Nagel. The band was formerly known as Maverick X. http://www.myspace.com/thewilliamsno
3) After a series of well-received live shows, the group finally released their debut album, Love Child. It is inescapably indebted to the post-punk movement. while the obvious comparison for The Williams is Joy Division, the band's love of all things 80s shines through. Album opener 102 is pure Jesus and Mary chain fuzziness, 마취 is a loving tribute to The Smiths, and album closer 아진 is Cure-esque gothic.

Everyday I have the blues
Everyday
Everyday I have the blues
Well, you see me worried, baby
Because it's you I hate to lose
Nobody loves me
Nobody loves me
Nobody seems to care
Speaking of bad luck and trouble
Well, you know I've had my share
I'm gonna pack my suitcase
Moving on down the line
Oh, I'm gonna pack my suitcase
Move on down the line
Where there ain't nobody worried
And there ain't nobody crying
Seems to me every day, every day
Every day, I have the blues
Every day, every day, every day
Every day I have the blues
You see me worried, baby
Because it's you I hate to lose
Nobody loves me
Nobody seems to care
Nobody loves me
Nobody seems to care
Speaking of bad luck and trouble
Did you know I've done had my share
I'm packing up my suitcase
I'm moving down the line, yeah
Where there ain't nobody worried
And there ain't nobody crying
Every day
I have the blues
I have the blues
Every day
Every day
I have the blues
I have the blues
Every day
You see me worried, baby
'Cause it's you I hate to lose
Every day, every day, every day
Every day, I have the blues
Every day
Ooh
The Williams's song Every Single Day is a blues song with a common theme of heartbreak and loneliness. The singer expresses his daily misery saying that every single day, he has the blues, which is a metaphor for feeling down and dejected. He puts the blame on his lover who he hates to lose and says that he's worried because of it. The singer then goes on to say that nobody loves him, and nobody seems to care about him. He has had his share of bad luck and trouble, and he's going to move on down the line where there isn't anyone worried or crying. The chorus repeats the same message of having the blues every day and the fear of losing his lover.
The lyrics of this song reflect the harsh reality of a broken-hearted person who has been consistently facing bad luck and trouble. The lyrics provide a powerful insight into the thoughts and feelings of someone who is heartbroken and struggling to find a way out of their misery. The song conveys a universal message that people can relate to, which is the struggle to cope with heartbreak and move forward in life. It portrays the journey of someone who has lost hope and is looking for a way out of their misery.
