***** While it is favorable to criticize everything(vitriol is another story), I found that your first retort was quite petty.

No one has all the answers, ergo everyone is ignorant on some level. I believe proper research strips away 'glaring ignorance', and puts you in a higher state of cognizance. Could he have done such research? Probably. However, I felt he at least understood the foundation of the video's content.

Now, I shall give a little criticism myself.

This quote gives off quite a negative impression(one that I realize is just an impression, not fact.) You come off as pompous; pretentious even. Going on about your intellect, as well as your critical impression of the 'monk'(who is really not a monk, so you're correct.)

You've also been very critical of this quote. Isolating it, and drawing your own conclusion. Strawman at its finest. Well, not its finest, but a decent example.

I once did this in mid air to a height of 15' with the aid lightweight wooden dowels tethered together that some would call a "ladder". It was quite an amazing feat and now i feel more spiritual.

This reminds me of 36th chamber of shaolin. Main character had so many difficulties attempting this feat at a shorter distance but later figured it out. This monk trained really hard to do this. Awesome stuff here.

When we were kids we used to run in this shallow creek, like 3 or 4 inches deep. And if you were fast enough, the water splashed to the side from your shoes and you didn't get wet. It was pretty cool

For those who think this is easy, the 1 cm ply wood does not provide much flotation, the monk need to step on it with a large force to keep him self afloat, also if you walked in water you would know it is very hard, but he is running in it with a jogging speed. This is very hard and does takes training and practices, please like so more can see, thanks!

In ancients china, legends claim that best kungfu practitioners can run on water with specially made shoes. The monk almost did exactly the same thing. He can definitely run on water with correct gears. The board is simply for practicing.

Just like when you can dive from a diving board into a pool, or dive off the top of a bridge into a river. When you understand that the speed and strength that you impact water with has a directly inverse effect on how it behaves. Just try punching the water with your fist, then slapping it with an open hand. No, the boards cannot support your weight with their buoyancy, but they can support a massive amount of weight with surface tension.

It's not about the forward speed. This is a case, where you need to have a high speed of your feet stomping on those boards. If you want, you can try to stand in one place, but you have to move your feet fast enough to keep you over water.

Jo Im lol i know... I was talking about the monks across the world have their OWN kind of Olympic style games, not compete in the actual Olympics with real athletes... They could do events that are widely popular within their temples, kinda like this video they could do the 100m walk on water, catching and shooting arrows, fastest 100ft tree climb, quickest balance run across a thin beam, longest barefooted cross country run, standing one footed balanced on top of a telephone pole, fastest at making incense blind folded, balancing on a floating log, longest underwater swim, balancing stacking rocks on head while meditating... you know odd but natural athletic feats of strength monks like to do or are known to do, but turned into an every 10year monk "Olympic" games for temple bragging rights and stuff... I just think that would be so cool!

yeah, classic mind over matter routine, these Shaolin fellas get so good at it it becomes almost second nature, once in Hong Kong I saw them cool down their beers in scorching heat, then one of them took my Martini, the ice had melted, it got to be at least room temperature, he waived his hand and not only was it cold again, the ice cubes reappeared. Then he started talking to my wife, asked her what she wished for, my ex wife that is, she's with him now.

the chi he uses is ching gong which is a chi that makes your body very light, very light that you can jump higher than a normal human would and do backflips and all that, that is why he has the ability to walk on the sheets because its not liquid but it has some kind of solid platform for him to run with his light chi

WOW, I give the guy props for his task as I do not think I know anyone who could do this. HOWEVER impressive this was: THIS WAS NOT WALKING/RUNNING ATOP WATER FOR EVEN A STEP. Atop means: on the top of . What this monk is doing is moving fast enough to transfer his weight to and from a single board before it is pushed so deep into the water that would prevent him from taking another step. A cute trick of how fast a human can train their twitch muscles to re-act but this is not walking on water...the title is misleading and i am going to assume it was presented as such to farm views. Also, saying something went viral does not mean that make true...
