Soon, their song, The Good Kind — originally recorded solely by Jessica — was featured on the hit teen soap opera One Tree Hill. They performed this song on the show on February 8, 2005. Later that month, the duo embarked on the month-long, nation-wide One Tree Hill Tour along with Gavin DeGraw, Tyler Hilton, and Bethany Joy Lenz. Michelle later expressed her dislike of going on tour without releasing an album first. "Stand Still, Look Pretty" became that album. It was released on May 23, 2006, debuting at number fourteen on the U.S. Billboard 200 with 44,000 copies sold in its first week. Though the market for country music is generally smaller in the UK compared to the United States, the album reached number one on the country chart on that side of the Atlantic.

I would say it was your best line ever
Too bad I fell for it
And I walked alone
Waiting for you to come along
Take my tortured heart by the hand
And write me off
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
Well it forced me to become strong
When I just craved being weak
And you think you know
And I would like to think so
But do you know that when you go
I fall apart
Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
No you're not the good kind
I'm tired of hiding
Behind these lying eyes
I'm tired of this smile
That even I don't recognize
Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
Do you know I cry
Do you know I die
Do you know I cry
And it's not the good kind
No you're not the good kind
Do you know I cry
The Wreckers' song, The Good Kind, is a powerful ballad that speaks about the pain of unrequited love. The chorus repeatedly asks the question, "Do you know I cry? Do you know I die? Do you know I cry, and it's not the good kind?" These lines express the singer's immense heartache, and the fact that the person she loves does not understand the extent of her pain. The lyrics suggest that the singer fell for a line from the person she loves. However, she is now left waiting for them to take her "tortured heart by the hand" and heal her pain. The singer is tired of hiding her true feelings behind a mask and is even tired of her own fake smile.
The song is a reminder of how easily we can become vulnerable and fall in love with someone who may not be worth it. It forces us to confront the reality that sometimes the person we love may not have the same feelings for us, no matter how deeply we feel for them. The singer overcoming her pain and becoming stronger reminds us that life still goes on.
