Come Back My Love
The Wrens (Doo-Wop) Lyrics

Oh-oh, come back my love, don't run away
Come back my love, oh come back to stay
I love you so, well I want you to know
I need your love so badly

Well, you said goodbye, I wondered why
All because of those silly lies
I love you so, well I want you to know
I need your love so badly
Well, everybody makes
Mistakes in the game of romance
I'm asking you darling
Why don't you come back and give me a chance

Come back my love, don't stay away
I need your loving every day
I love you so, well I want you to know
I need your love so badly

Well, everybody makes
Ooh, mistakes in the game of romance
Now, I'm asking you darling
Why don't you come back and give me a chance

Come back my love, don't stay away
I need your loving every day
I love you so, well I want you to know
I need your love so badly

Well, everybody makes
Ooh, mistakes in the game of romance
Now, I'm asking you darling
Why don't you come back and give me a chance

Come back my love, don't stay away
I need your loving every day
I love you so, well I want you to know
I need your love so badly
'Cause I need your love so badly

I love this more than any other song from the early doo-wop period. This is smoother and more soulful than the brassier competing version by the Cardinals.

Wrennissima! Doo-wop grandeur.

This was getting a lot of airplay on the Radio stations like Gem and BBC Radio 2 and 4 a few years back while I was at work. I bet it came on at least a couple of times a month this version aswell . Your probably going back about a decade now but I always remember being a doowop fanatic and all I used jump for joy when it came on 🤗🤗

my favorite record as a kid .

Heard this song at Portillo's. I really like it, and it's quite relevant to 2018 heartbreak as much as it was about 1955 heartbreak.

Here is a more modern cover version of this song by the pop group Darts from 1978: https://youtu.be/u3q3eKVBuoo
