1. YARDS is a hardcore / trash band formed in England, in 2012. They release a self-titled debut EP in 2013 as a pay-what-you-want download via Bandcamp. There also is a limited vinyl pressing available.
2. The Yards (hence forth referred to as "the yards band")are a band from York in England. In 2002, Chris Helme and Stuart Fletcher formed The Yards, along with drummer John Miller and keyboard player Jon Hargreaves. Shortly afterwards guitarist, Chris Farrell joined to complete the line-up.
In 2004 the Yards released the The Devil Is Alive And Well And In DC EP on their own Industrial Erotica label. Produced by Head (PJ Harvey, Kathryn Williams), the EP sold out in the UK as well as in Japan where it was released on the Wizzard-In-Vinyl label. Meanwhile their live gigs continued to grow in size and repute, as headline tours, festival appearances and support tours with the legendary Love featuring Arthur Lee, followed. Carling Live magazine described The Yards live show as "drenched in the sleaze of the The Velvet Underground, the sheer songwriting magnificence of Buffalo Springfield and the balls-out attitude of The Stooges"
Finally, in April 2005 the band released their debut album, The Yards, again on their own Industrial Erotica label but this time licensed through Snapper Music. The album was a diverse and dynamic showcase for Chris' way with a melody and the band's love of classic songwriting.
Since the release of the album, The Yards' music has featured on live radio sessions for, amongst others, Janice Long and Mark Riley and on the soundtrack of Channel 4 program Teachers, while the singles Forget Your Regrets, Only Myself To Blame and the download only The Devil Is Alive and Well and in D.C. could be heard on Radio 1 and Radio 2.

3. The Yards (hence forth referred to as "theyards" - the brainchild of keyboardist Bradford Hoopes and drummer Kelly White. Bradford and Kelly had played for years together in a band called the E-Z Pieces and decided it was time to go into the studio. So they recruited some top-shelf funk rhythm masters for the string section and The Yards was borne November 5, 2000 at z,gwon,th studios in Lawrence, Kansas. Tom Johnson produced, engineered and played bass. His brother Eric Johnson played guitar in the afternoon, and after a dinner break, was replaced by Brian Baggett. There were no rehearsals, just sketches for songs in mind, and a delirious desire to play 12 songs in 12 different keys. Well, after 11 songs in 11 hours in 11 keys, they were tired, and so you will not hear the key of B on the record. Each song was played once or twice, with seldom to nary a third take. The song would be mixed quickly and they'd move on. At the end of a wonderful Sunday, an entire record had been completed and all was well.
Having opened for John Scofield, Karl Denson, Toots & the Maytals, The Slip, and performed with Hammondbeat bands the Link Quartet and the Diplomats of Solid Sound, The Yards in 2004 released their first 7" single, "Munchimoo Boogaloo", the A-side of which was featured on Hammondbeat's "Wilson Chance: The Sound of Danger" CD. Also recorded a track for Scufflin' Records 'Boogaloo Tribute to Jack McDuff'. Look for the new album "Wit" in 2006 on Hammondbeat Records.

On the Inside
The Yards Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
They say we are not human, only in our features
We scurry and we run and we hide and wait for...
Sisters and brothers to come home
home is never far away, so long I can't remember
saved by holy teachers in the middle of December
got to turn the table, I can't take it no longer
please let me go
to sleep?
You can wake me when it's over
keep it coming. Don't leave us alone
I'm tired of running. I'm not on my own.
I had something. I left it behind.
You can't touch me, you can't take what's on the inside.
On the inside.
There will come a time my friends when we will get our vengeance
rounding up the infidels and quashing all resistance
I won't burn in hell for this 'cause... I got my reasons
yes my good lord tells me so
he said we should go in peace
as we cut them all to pieces.
Keep it coming. Don't leave us alone
I'm way past caring, I'm not on my own.
I had something. I left it behind.
You can't touch me, you can't take what's on the inside.
On the inside.
Well I wanna forgive ya and I wanna forget ya
I'll let a few more live, but I can't start yet
oh no.
Oh no.
We don't want to forget how to remember
we don't want to forget how to remember
burn. Home
The Yards song "On the Inside" is a heavy and intense song that speaks of the struggle between good and evil, and the desire to take back control from those who seek to harm us. The lyrics paint a picture of a world where evil-minded creatures are constantly seeking to harm and destroy those who are different from them. The singer speaks of hiding and waiting for sisters and brothers to come home, implying that there is safety in numbers and that a sense of community is necessary for survival.
The second half of the song takes a more aggressive approach, with the singer declaring that there will come a time when they will get their vengeance on those who have harmed them. There is a sense of righteous anger mixed with religious conviction, as the singer speaks of being saved by holy teachers and guided by their good lord. The desire for revenge is strong, but there is also a sense of wanting to forgive and forget, although the singer acknowledges that it may be too soon for that.
Overall, "On the Inside" is a deeply emotional and passionate song that speaks to the struggles we all face in our lives. It speaks to the desire for safety, community, and revenge, as well as the need for forgiveness and healing.

The laws protecting animals against peoples abuse are a joke and need to be stricter with more severe penalties
No animal deserves this treatment, thats why I support the ASPCA with a monthly donation ❤🐶🐈💯

Every human who chains these poor animals up in these conditions should suffer the same fate they’ve subjected these animals to. Disgusting how this still goes on today!

This is so sad and heartbreaking. The monsters who do this are disgusting and evil, and choose to be so. I am so thankful for organizations like the ASPCA for helping and rescuing these poor animals from this damaging and monstrosity of a life. Whomsoever condones, or participates, within this life and treatment, of these animals are just as evil and disgusting. Everyone should be aware and not turn a blind eye, and speak up and speak out against the monsters that put these animals through this horror. I hope that all these animals can be rehabilitated and have an awesome and loving life going forward. Thank you ASPCA!
