Get Back
The pUnch Lyrics

Become half empty? Loss of control, Out of proportion.
Now I just want to get it back. Looking where it can't be
Found, with eyes turned out. Now I just want to get back.
Want to get back to where I started, because I don't know
Where all of this is coming from.
The Punch's song "Get Back" is a poignant and introspective exploration of the singer's struggles with losing control and feeling out of proportion in their life. The opening lines of "Want to get back to where I started" immediately establish a desire to return to a previous point in time when things were simpler and more manageable. The next line "When did my glass become half empty?" suggests a change in perspective, where the singer is no longer seeing the positive aspects of life but instead focusing on the negative.
The following line "Loss of control, out of proportion" further emphasizes the singer's feelings of helplessness and being overwhelmed by their circumstances. The repetition of "Now I just want to get it back" reinforces the sense of urgency and desperation in the singer's desire to regain a sense of balance and stability. The final lines "Looking where it can't be found, with eyes turned out. Now I just want to get back. Want to get back to where I started, because I don't know where all of this is coming from" suggest a feeling of confusion and disorientation, with the singer searching for answers and a way to return to a state of mental and emotional equilibrium.
Overall, The Punch's "Get Back" is a powerful and relatable exploration of the human experience of struggling to maintain control in the face of life's challenges and setbacks. The lyrics are heartfelt and emotive, capturing the complexity and nuance of the singer's inner world.

Still wish I could find the original video of this that I saw. It's what got me turned on to FFDP in the first place. Imagine every time they scream RISE, you see someone taking a suplex, then an elbow drop, then on the last one the undertaker shrugs off a chair hit straight to the back and rips his opponent's legs out from under him.
