Panther Dance
Thepetebox Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics of THePETEBOX's song Panther Dance describe the deep connection between a man and his music. The repetitive nature of the lyrics highlights the constant presence of the rhythm in the man's mind. The phrase "man's got a rhythm calling" suggests that the man's passion for music is innate and irresistible; he cannot ignore it, and it consumes him entirely. The repetition of this phrase and the emphasis on the man's connection with music suggest that music plays a significant role in shaping his identity and helping him navigate through life.
The lyrics also suggest that the man's relationship with music goes beyond mere entertainment or hobby; it is his life's purpose. The phrase "man and music gonna forge the way" implies that music is not only a passion but also a means to make a mark on the world. The connection between the man and his music seems almost mystical, represented by the phrase "seems man's rhythm's come calling with him." The notion that music can change the world is not a new idea, but THePETEBOX's lyrics suggest that music is not just a tool for change, but a fundamental aspect of human existence.
