With keen pop sensibilities, a skewed sense of humour and a willingness to draw inspiration from diverse sources (notably punk rock), Therapy? came to attention in the early 1990s rise of alternative rock, but have endured for more than a decade since; Critic Johnny Loftus writes, "After a ten-plus year career that has seen them outlast competitors and outwit industry attempts at categorization, Therapy? are still headbangers with their thinking caps screwed on tight."

Therapy? Lyrics

And you're sticking to my skin
Someone shut the morning up
My conscience creeps back in
I don't hear the words you say
When you just come around
I don't hear the words you say
There's one thing that I should remember
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There's one thing that I should remember
There's a light at the end of the tunnel
Buggered by a priest
When you were seven years of age
The age of understanding
Came with blood and semen stains
[Incomprehensible] in politics
Has handed back yourself
Is there anything as disgraceful I can see again?
There's one thing that I should remember
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There's one thing that I should remember
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
How did we get from the blue lamp disco
To cracking up in San Francisco?
I look at myself in a sober light
I'm not Elvis but I'm alright
I can feel you breathing
When you tear me from within
Unhinged and unraveled
As you rip my fucking skin
I can put my head back on
But it's the wrong way round
Feeling up the ladder
You won't get back down
There's one thing that I should remember
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There's one thing that I should remember
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There's one thing that I should remember
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There's one thing that I should remember
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel
There is a light at the end of the tunnel

The lyrics of Therapy?'s song "30 Seconds" are dark and introspective, dealing with themes of trauma, shame, and addiction. The opening lines seem to describe a moment of intimacy with another person, possibly a lover, but the singer is distracted by their own intrusive thoughts and feelings of guilt. The repetition of the line "I don't hear the words you say/I just see you lie" suggests that the singer is struggling to connect with the people around them, perhaps due to a history of abuse or neglect.
The second verse takes on a more political tone, criticizing the hypocrisy and corruption of those in power. The reference to sexual abuse by a priest at a young age is especially jarring, and adds a new layer of pain and trauma to the song. The final verse returns to the personal, as the singer reflects on their own struggles with addiction and self-harm. The phrase "Feeling up the ladder/You won't get back down" is a powerful image of the isolation and despair that can accompany addiction.
Overall, the song seems to be about the difficulty of facing one's own demons, and the hopelessness that can result from feeling trapped in one's own pain. However, the repeated chorus of "There is a light at the end of the tunnel" suggests that there is still hope for redemption and healing, even in the darkest of times.

Наконец-то я нашёл этот крутой трек! Искал его с 98 года.. Спасибо!
p.s. Всегда думал, что поётся "Where is NO light at the end of the tunnel", из-за того что на на моей кассете этот трек был в конце, и затухал где-то на половине, и концовки я никогда не слышал..

PS всегда думал, что поет "There is a light in the end of the tunnel", как восклицание: "Вон там!-Есть свет в конце тоннеля!) ", Как бы указывая на надежду, потерявшему ее)
