There for Tomorrow was a band from Orlando, Florida that combines alternative rock/post-hardcore music with adrenaline filled lyrics. Featured members are Maika Maile (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), Christian Climer (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jay Enriquez (bass/backing vocals), and Chris Kamrada (drums). They were signed to Hopeless/Sub City Records until 2013 .
There for Tomorrow formed in 2003 at a time when all of its members were teenagers (although Christian Climer did not join the band until 2006). They were originally called The Kick Off, but changed their name after playing numerous local shows. The band's debut album Point of Origin was released on 30 April 2004. They began playing local radio station showcase concerts, which led to stints on the southeastern leg of the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 and 2007. After the tour, they met with James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore), who produced their 2007 Pages EP, which attracted the attention of the alternative rock label Hopeless Records. He returned to produce their self titled EP, released on 5 August 2008, featuring the first single "No More Room to Breathe." Just over three months later, the band won the MTVU Woodie Award for breakout artist of the year, beating established acts such as All Time Low and We the Kings.
In February 2009, the band joined We the Kings with other bands on the Secret Valentine Tour. They also played on the 2009 Warped Tour. A Little Faster, There for Tomorrow's debut full-length album on Hopeless Records, was released on 9 June 2009.
Their third full-length studio album, The Verge, was released on June 28, 2011.
Their self released EP Nightscape was released on October 21, 2014.
The group is influenced by bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, and The Hives.
On November 19, the band posted a statement on Facebook, officially announcing the end of the band. They played their farewell shows during December 2014.

But that reoccurring sound
In your ear makes it perfect
Was it clear, my whole purpose?
I'm just fine with or without
Having this inner selfish doubt
I'll fall hard
You'll fall harder
You're too startled
Break a sweat, desperate lover
Do you feel all alone?
I fell asleep on your death bed
In a hole in your head rests
I'm facing truth so unfamiliar
I'll just close my eyes and
Fall asleep on your deathbed
Can we be resurrected?
I'm facing truth so unfamiliar
I'm your saint, will you be my savior?
I always hoped to bring this down
Words exchanging all around
You spoke quick, I spoke faster
Take your pick, take mine after
But the time went ticking
And hearts went missing
It's not what I waited on
Break a sweat, desperate lover
Do you feel all alone?
I fell asleep on your death bed
In a hole in your head rests
I'm facing truth so unfamiliar
I just close my eyes and
Fall asleep on your deathbed
Can we be resurrected?
I'm facing truth so unfamiliar
I'm your saint, will you be my savior?
Will you be my savior?
We both agreed that this was best
But I can't risk to lose my rest
I closed my eyes now you're well on your way
I bend and fold at your request
Now it's my time to take a step
I closed my eyes now you're well on your way.
I fell asleep on your death bed
In a hole in your head rests
I'm facing truth so unfamiliar
I just close my eyes and
Fall asleep on your deathbed
Can we be resurrected?
I'm facing truth so unfamiliar
I'm your saint, will you be my savior?
Will you be my savior?
The song "Deathbed" by There for Tomorrow is a poignant reflection on the inevitability of death, the struggle of letting go, and the power dynamics of a romantic relationship. The lyrics convey a sense of urgency and desperation, as the singer grapples with conflicting emotions and memories of their lover. In the first verse, the lyric "I'd hate to break it to you now, but that reoccurring sound in your ear makes it perfect" implies that the singer has accepted their fate and is at peace with the idea of dying. The line "I'm your saint, will you be my savior?" suggests a power dynamic in the relationship, where the singer is viewed as the "saint" or the one who is supposed to provide salvation or comfort to their partner.
The chorus of the song is particularly haunting, as the singer describes falling asleep on their lover's deathbed, hoping for some sort of resurrection or rebirth. The lyric "I'm facing truth so unfamiliar, can we be resurrected?" speaks to the universal human desire for immortality or a second chance in life after death. The second verse brings up the idea of missed opportunities and unspoken feelings, with the line "it's not what I waited on." The song ends on a bittersweet note, as the singer lets go of their lover and takes a step forward into the unknown, with the hope that they will find peace and closure.
