There for Tomorrow was a band from Orlando, Florida that combines alternative rock/post-hardcore music with adrenaline filled lyrics. Featured members are Maika Maile (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), Christian Climer (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jay Enriquez (bass/backing vocals), and Chris Kamrada (drums). They were signed to Hopeless/Sub City Records until 2013 .
There for Tomorrow formed in 2003 at a time when all of its members were teenagers (although Christian Climer did not join the band until 2006). They were originally called The Kick Off, but changed their name after playing numerous local shows. The band's debut album Point of Origin was released on 30 April 2004. They began playing local radio station showcase concerts, which led to stints on the southeastern leg of the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 and 2007. After the tour, they met with James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore), who produced their 2007 Pages EP, which attracted the attention of the alternative rock label Hopeless Records. He returned to produce their self titled EP, released on 5 August 2008, featuring the first single "No More Room to Breathe." Just over three months later, the band won the MTVU Woodie Award for breakout artist of the year, beating established acts such as All Time Low and We the Kings.
In February 2009, the band joined We the Kings with other bands on the Secret Valentine Tour. They also played on the 2009 Warped Tour. A Little Faster, There for Tomorrow's debut full-length album on Hopeless Records, was released on 9 June 2009.
Their third full-length studio album, The Verge, was released on June 28, 2011.
Their self released EP Nightscape was released on October 21, 2014.
The group is influenced by bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, and The Hives.
On November 19, the band posted a statement on Facebook, officially announcing the end of the band. They played their farewell shows during December 2014.

When I lost my head to it
It was out of its time, it was undiscovered
As I caught my breath again
You were running out of lies to keep me under
Afraid of your back hands ?
So to speak, you had me shaking at the knees
No, I don't know the way out of this mess
And if you would've seen me at my best
Would it have changed anything at all?
Remember when, we never had to remember when times were better
When times were better than this
We never had to remember when times were better
When times were better than this
The door was always open
But still not nearly enough to let me in
and my eyes are wide awake,
And i can see you clearly, but you don't stand out one bit.
I was always loud enough just for you to hear me
You never caught the wind
Now watch me break
Breakdown this time, this time again
But I don't know the way out of this mess
No, I don't know the way out of this mess
And if you would've seen me at my best
Would it have changed anything at all?
Remember when, we never had to remember when times were better
When times were better than this
We never had to remember when times were better
When times were better than this
(When times were better, when times were better than this) [Repeat: x2]
And I'm still waiting for a sign
Or just a win-win situation
Can I hear it one more time?
Without the sound of devastation setting in
Your initial reply hit me undercover
When I lost my head to it
It was out of its time, it was undiscovered
When you let me in
Oh, won't you let me in?
Remember when, we never had to remember when times were better
When times were better than this
We never had to remember when times were better
When times were better than this
Do you remember, remember when?
Do you remember, remember when?
We never had to remember when times were better
When times were better than this
(When times were better, when times were better than this [x2])
The song "Remember When" by There for Tomorrow talks about the complexities of a relationship that is falling apart. The first stanza describes the singer's realization that they were under the control of their partner, who kept them under their thumb with lies and possibly physical threats. However, despite wanting to leave, the singer confesses that they don't know how to get out of the situation. The chorus follows, repeating the title phrase and contrasting the past with the present. The singer longs for the time when things were better between them, but acknowledges that they now have to remember those times instead of living in them. The second stanza describes the singer's feelings of isolation, despite the door being supposedly open for them. The bridge addresses the need for communication and signs from their partner, but the singer is still unsure if they will ever come.
Overall, "Remember When" is a haunting ballad about an unhappy relationship that is falling apart. It accurately portrays the complicated feelings of a person who both longs for the past and fears the future. The lyrics are beautiful in their simplicity, and the contrast between the somber melody and the energetic chorus creates a beautiful tension that is sure to resonate with anyone who has experienced a similar situation.
