There for Tomorrow was a band from Orlando, Florida that combines alternative rock/post-hardcore music with adrenaline filled lyrics. Featured members are Maika Maile (rhythm guitar/lead vocals), Christian Climer (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jay Enriquez (bass/backing vocals), and Chris Kamrada (drums). They were signed to Hopeless/Sub City Records until 2013 .
There for Tomorrow formed in 2003 at a time when all of its members were teenagers (although Christian Climer did not join the band until 2006). They were originally called The Kick Off, but changed their name after playing numerous local shows. The band's debut album Point of Origin was released on 30 April 2004. They began playing local radio station showcase concerts, which led to stints on the southeastern leg of the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 and 2007. After the tour, they met with James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore), who produced their 2007 Pages EP, which attracted the attention of the alternative rock label Hopeless Records. He returned to produce their self titled EP, released on 5 August 2008, featuring the first single "No More Room to Breathe." Just over three months later, the band won the MTVU Woodie Award for breakout artist of the year, beating established acts such as All Time Low and We the Kings.
In February 2009, the band joined We the Kings with other bands on the Secret Valentine Tour. They also played on the 2009 Warped Tour. A Little Faster, There for Tomorrow's debut full-length album on Hopeless Records, was released on 9 June 2009.
Their third full-length studio album, The Verge, was released on June 28, 2011.
Their self released EP Nightscape was released on October 21, 2014.
The group is influenced by bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182, Third Eye Blind, and The Hives.
On November 19, the band posted a statement on Facebook, officially announcing the end of the band. They played their farewell shows during December 2014.
Wrong Way To Hide
There for Tomorrow Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Our struggles are unparalleled
Searching for an answer
We're looking to those who seem to be free
Cover it up to show the unlikely
Who could pull this off in reality?
We've had it made so far
We have grown up to be
People that we've never wanted seen
We've already been seen
The faces that you hide behind
Will only make us realize
That you can't see the problem
We've made out of ourselves
And now we only need
A second to rethink
Cause its time to do more than just stare at the ground
We're asking questions
Where answers can't be found
The lyrics to There for Tomorrow's song "Wrong Way To Hide" explore the struggle of trying to find one's place in the world while feeling trapped and suffocated by societal expectations. The opening lines, "Wanting to breathe, needing to see, our struggles are unparalleled" set the tone for the song, which describes a sense of being lost and unsure of how to move forward.
The chorus, "We've had it made so far, living off of our unanswered calls, we have grown up to be people that we've never wanted seen, we've already been seen," speaks to the pressure society puts on individuals to conform and meet certain expectations. The idea of "unanswered calls" suggests a lack of direction or purpose, and the fear of being seen as someone other than who you truly are.
The bridge, "The faces that you hide behind will only make us realize that you can't see the problem we've made out of ourselves, and now we only need a second to rethink, 'cause it's time to do more than just stare at the ground," encourages the listener to look up from their own struggles and realize that everyone else is dealing with their own issues as well. It's a call to action to take responsibility for one's own problems and make a change.
Overall, "Wrong Way To Hide" is a powerful and emotive song about the struggle to find one's identity and purpose in a society that often feels suffocating and overwhelming. It speaks to the universal human experience of feeling lost and unsure, and the importance of being true to oneself.

2015 and still love this song. I can't believe how fast time flies. I wasn't even in high school when I claimed Tft as my fave band. Now I'm a couple years out of school and will never forget the memories behind listening to this song as a kid <3
