Upon a mountain in the middle of the universe, high above the world of man, rises the abode of gods.
The gods' home, Asgard, stands on a mountain in the universe, above the human world.

The shining halls of the gods circle in the sky like the stars and the twelve signs of the odiac.
The halls of the gods are bright and encircle the sky, similar to the arrangement of the stars and the twelve signs of the zodiac.

Only those who are brave and pure of heart will be brought up the air to the palaces of Asgard.
Only courageous and righteous individuals will be lifted by the gods to Asgard's palaces.

They will ride upon the rainbow and fade side by side with the gods on the end of days.
They will ride the rainbow and accompany the gods on the final day, standing with them as equals.

Riding on the rainbow and they'll pass the gate of Heimdal
Traversing the rainbow, they'll pass the gate of Heimdal.

Open up Gladheim and the Walhall!
Open the gates of Gladheim and Valhalla!

In the house of Odin the fallen one is standing
Inside Odin's house stands a fallen individual.

With all Einherjar, ready for war.
Accompanied by all the Einherjar, prepared for a battle.

When the seal is broken up in the midwinter sky,
When the seal is broken in the sky during midwinter,

All the dead will follow Odin and they're coming by the storm
Odin will lead the dead, arriving in a storm.

In the middle of the world the rock of Gods stand high.
In the center of the world, stand the towering rock of the gods.

On the dark yule-night
On a dark yule night,

The gods will descend with the dead of the brave.
The gods will come down with the valiant deceased.

Take us to Walhalla
Carry us to Valhalla,

When we'll pass the gate of Heimdal.
When we pass Heimdall's gate.

Let us meet gods (and) follow their ride.
Let us encounter the gods and join in their journey.

If you watch the nightsky you will find their dwelling
Observing the night sky reveals where they reside.

In the stars they live (as the) zodiac signs.
They live among the stars, represented by the zodiac symbols.

When the bridge will make a way for all the northern gods
When the bridge provides passage for all northern gods,

All the dead will ride on Bifrost and they're coming by the storm
The deceased will cross Bifrost in a tempestuous manner.

Sagas from the ancient days are written in the sky
Legends from ages past are inscribed in the sky.

When you read the runes again Walhalla and Asgard are reborn.
When deciphering the runes once more, Valhalla and Asgard are reborn.
