Plans
They Were Stars Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I wanted to make plans
I thought you would understand
One by the hour
Ten by the time the sunlight glows through window's doors and knocks us down

Come on come on come on
A little lower
Put up the toys cause girl I'm coming over
Come on come on come on
A little slower now and turn the world around

You are a dark house
I'm not sure I understand
With all your lights out, I promise to do the best I can to make this a night that knocks us down

Come on come on come on
A little lower
Put up the toys cause girl I'm coming over
Come on come on come on
A little slower now and turn the world around

One stop, don't stop. Take me away
One stop, don't stop. No one to blame
One stop, don't stop. Doing the same things

I wanted to make plans
I thought you would understand
One by the hour
Ten by the time the sunlight glows through window's doors and knocks us down

Come on come on come on
A little lower
Put up the toys cause girl I'm coming over

Come on come on come on
A little slower now and turn the world around

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song "Plans" by They Were Stars depict the desire to make plans with someone special, in hope that they will understand and reciprocate the same feelings. The singer expresses their eagerness to spend time with their lover by asking them to put away their toys, lower their physical barriers and let themselves be vulnerable to the singer, creating an environment where they can share intimate moments together. The song emphasizes the importance of seizing the moment and enjoying the time spent with loved ones, as life can be unpredictable and fleeting. The line "One stop, don't stop. Take me away" emphasizes the desire to live in the moment and focus on enjoying life rather than worrying about what might happen in the future.

The imagery of the sun and the window's door is used to indicate the passage of time and the singer's eagerness to spend as much time as possible with their partner, even if it means staying up late into the night. The lyrics also imply a sense of mystery and uncertainty around the partner, as the use of the metaphor "You are a dark house" highlights the fact the singer doesn't fully understand their partner yet. However, the singer's willingness to try to make the night an enjoyable one by promising to do their best creates a sense of hope and promise that their relationship has the potential to blossom into something meaningful and long-lasting.

Overall, "Plans" is a song about seizing the moment, being present and enjoying life with loved ones. It is about creating a safe haven of intimacy, even when the world around is chaotic and unpredictable.

It makes you wonder at what the Death Star would of been like had these guys built it with droids running it too. I reckon it be easier to target knowing the droids are to stupid to properly fight or defend. But I would not be surprised if their version would have far more fire power than what the original Death Star had.

@CorruptEngieJR

I imagine it would of served as it’s own control ship similar to the ones in TPM, allowing for better coordination of droid forces. Sense the Imperial DS has their style of interior design the CIS DS would probably be more factorized with larger corridors.

@NickMartinproductions

Starkiller Base for example could destroy multiple targets and the Death Star II could fire rapidly at smaller targets. Their version may have included beams that target starfighters

I like the fact the Geonosian language despite sounding weird it has traces that helps you realize that it's saying something rather than making lame unarticulated sounds.
