I woke up and found myself in a room.

My cousin greeted me and we began to run.

We round the corner, now we by Fix
We turned the corner and arrived at Fix's location.

He smiled at me but kept on running
My cousin smiled at me but continued to run away.

Man something ain't right, I see this car coming
I sensed danger as I saw a car approaching.

I tried to catch him, I'm running faster
I attempted to catch up to my cousin by running faster.

But I can't catch him, I'm hearing laughter
My cousin kept getting away, and I heard laughter that wasn't his.

That car pulled over, I heard a shot
The car stopped, and I heard gunfire.

My eyes opened when his body dropped
I woke up when I saw my cousin get shot.

Guns on the table, drug money everywhere
I saw firearms on a table, and there were illegal drugs and money scattered around.

Girls all around me, cocaine everywhere
There were women in the vicinity and cocaine was also present.

Powder on my nose, I guess I've been sniffin' it
I deduced that I had been snorting cocaine since there was some on my nose.

That's about the time that the Feds came kickin' in
It was then that law enforcement officials raided the place.

Bullets start to richochayetin'
Bullets began to ricochet all over the place.

Knockin' holes in the wall, man they ain't playin'
The bullets penetrated the walls, and it was evident that the cops meant business.

I hit the floor, cock my burner, let it go
I got down and aimed my gun, and I started to shoot.

Jail ain't a option for me, I ain't tryna go
I didn't want to go to jail regardless of the situation.

I take cover, but the bullets hit me
I tried taking shelter from the gunfire, but I still got hit.

My flesh open, I'm bleeding quickly
I sustained injuries and was bleeding profusely.

My ears beatin', I could barely hear
The gunshot sounds were ringing in my ears, making it difficult to hear.

Now I look around, and ain't nobody there
After the commotion died down, nobody was around.

I'm hardly breathin', I start to wheezin'
I was having difficulty breathing and started to wheeze.

I guess I'm dyin', my soul leavin'
I concluded that I was dying and felt my soul departing from my body.

Cry 'Lord forgive me if you can hear'
I plea to the Lord to forgive me if He can hear me.

And if there's a heaven, please take me there
I ask the Lord to take me to heaven if there is such a place.

Now I done dirty things and I done seen much
I have done many evil things and have witnessed much evil in my life.

But I'm tired of seeing things, things I can't touch
I am fed up with seeing things that I cannot possess.

Sometimes I see the Feds, and the Feds 'bout to get me
I sometimes imagine the Feds closing in on me.

Sometimes I see Tank, and Tank was still with me
I sometimes visualize my friend Tank being by my side.

Sometimes I see the people that I hurt pointin' at me
I sometimes imagine the individuals I've wronged pointing and laughing at me.

While I'm walkin' into church, laughin' at me
Furthermore, I see them laughing at me while I'm trying to enter a church.

Sayin' 'that ain't gon' work'
The people I've wronged say that my attempts to change will not succeed.

Go back to the hood, go back to doin' dirt'
They advise me to return to my old ways of living and committing crimes.

But I'm callin' to the Lord, and I'm fallin' on my knees
Despite their mockery, I'm praying to the Lord and humbling myself.

Father help me please, you can set me free
I ask the Lord to assist me, believing that He can deliver me from my troubles.

From the things inside my head that people can't see
I urge the Lord to free me from the mental anguish that others are unaware of.

I know you can deliver and you can set me free
I am certain that the Lord can help me and free me from my burdens.

'Cause Lord I wanna sleep, some nights I can't sleep
I pray to the Lord to help me sleep because there are nights I struggle to rest.

I wake up in the morning not knowing what's a dream
Furthermore, I sometimes wake up confused, not knowing if my experiences were real or just dreams.

Sometimes I'm stuck in space, sometimes I'm stuck in time
At other times, I feel caught in a different time or place than my current reality.

But this is what I see, come look inside my mind
This is what goes through my mind, and I invite you to take a closer look.
