They were formed in 1973 and are still releasing records today. Their lineup has changed over the years, as has their musical style, although it has not strayed too far from the "roots reggae" style that they are generally categorized as.
With Dean Pond in the touring lineup (Dean Pond, founder of Dub Mystic and one time musical director and drummer for Culture, and V.I. producer of the year) this year (??) should prove to be even bigger for Third World.

Give JAH thanks and praise yea
We've been down for so long woo
(JAH Children)
It's time to change your ways
How good and how pleasant it is for I and
I to dwell as one (yen)
Join hands and hearts together and
Make us strong
No matter what they say no matter what
They do
(Chorus)
Let's sing of itesfull oneness (yea)
And give yourself that full respect
'Cause you've got your life to live yea
And so much, so much, so much love to give
So spread your little joy around the worldAnd let the children run come 'round
(one time yea)
Giving them the message of JAH love
With the rhythm of the positive y'all
(In everything they do and everything they say)

The dream of International morality
Is a fleeting illusion
To he pursued and never attained

My friends and I were into reggae in high school in 1986. I must have rewound this song 20 times when I first heard it. Listening to it now I got a little emotional, makes me realize how timeless it is, and the message is still strong.
@alexdumas56
It was still meaningful when I jammed out to it in my Teens in the mid nineties.....I had two soon to be little brothers and I'd prop em on my shoulders and dance to this song with them on my shoulders.....
@kartherdeconnor2786

I bought this cassette in 1981 or 82 when it first came out. I was in the Navy down in Mayport Florida, brings back many memories

Ouais man, moi c'était en 1981 quand j'habitais à Cayenne en Guyane Française, c'est à l'instant que je viens de tomber dessus...43 ans après, je retrouve mes 15 ans...quelle époque merveilleuse.
@cheickboundi6725
