Stables has been turning heads in all the right places since 2003: a first album Krülle Bol produced by John Parish , singles (Two Wooden Spoons) released by Rob da Bank’s label Sunday Best and a long-awaited second album on Dreamboat Records in 2010. Wriggle out the Restless was born out of a new, slower way of working. Gestated over a long period the album has drawn on This Is The Kit’s many musical friends (Rozi Plain [[label]Fence ], Jim Barr [of Portishead ] Francois [Fence] and The Liftmen [[label]Twisted Nerve]) to fill out their delicate music into a full, robust sound. “The aim was to have fun playing with people who’s work I really like” says Kate “the more you exchange and share with people the better things get and the more you learn.”
This Is The Kit perform regularly as a two-piece with Stables on vocals, guitar and banjo, and Vernon on violin, guitar, bass and percussion.

Misunderstanding
This Is the Kit Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Ever so weary
Holes in her patience
Tattered and flapping
And it seems there's no end
'Cause the window is closed
And there buried in
Then the one who was pushing
Opens up and is sharing
Breathing in and is smiling
Breathing out and is giving
And it saves us all
And it opens out
And it saves us all
Misunderstanding
Saved by the sapling
The sapling was growing
The lyrics of This Is the Kit's song Misunderstanding are open to interpretation. The song could be about a situation where someone is feeling discouraged and hopeless because their efforts have been fruitless. Despite feeling distressed, the person perseveres, and eventually, someone opens up and shares something positive, breathing life back into the situation.
The lyrics describe a woman who is gradually losing her patience and becoming exhausted, and no one seems to notice or care. As the window closes on any hope of a resolution, she feels buried alive with the struggle. But then, someone steps forward and offers a helping hand, a listening ear, or a kind word. This act of generosity becomes the saving grace that opens up a new possibility and a renewed sense of hope.
The song's message seems to be about the power of positive change and the importance of recognizing the impact that our actions can have on others. A small gesture, a simple act of kindness, or one person's willingness to share their perspective could turn the tide of a situation and bring about a positive outcome.

How much does this band collectively spend on soap and shampoo annually. I wanna listen, but you can literally smell under the singers hat while you watch.
