Bridge of Sighs
This Tortured Soul Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The sun don't shine
The moon don't move the tides,
To wash me clean
Sun don't shine
The moon don't move the tides,
To wash me clean
Why so unforgiving and why so cold
Been a long time crossing Bridge of Sighs
Cold wind blows
The Gods look down in anger,
On this poor child
Cold wind blows
And Gods look down in anger,
On this poor child

Why so unforgiving and why so cold
Been a long time crossing Bridge of Sighs

@irulekhs

this is excellent. i'm thinking of covering this track myself. you've done a great job relaying that trower vibe!

@fistchips

very cool!!

@O0Salmon0O

These guys are good. There were some technical problems with the guitar effects. Eric has some showman talents. He is not just some guy who plays guitar. He is a performer. Just because people do not recognize him as a big name star they think he has to perform cover tunes as close to the original as possible and is graded with that yardstick. Set aside the distracting problems breaking concentration of the band, close your eyes and enjoy the music.

@lespaul37

been foolowing you in dayton for years.and still impressed.checksome of my vids.c what you think

@bigdaveradio

@wavydavey Drunk ass bass player or not the show was good. deragon76 is not someone whose musical opinion I would think much about. I checked out his site and his only music favorites are Brittney Spears and a version of Season of the Witch by Hole. I have several versions of this great tune and this is the only bad one.

@johnboy5876

Ive seen this band a gazillon time and never once did I think anyone was loaded

@bigdaveradio

Any song can be covered. Good covers don't seek to merely imitate but try to take the song and go in their own direction. Otherwise it's just a tribute.

@SD-cl5mj

If all you negative people out there, don't like this version, learn it, see if your version is better than this

@bigdaveradio

Not really a blues song. Not trying to copy Trower, just trying to do a good version of a good song. If you have ever seen Trower (I have, several times) he gets pretty out front with his guitar as well. But each to his own taste.

@misko1961

Sorry man but in my opinion all he's doing is imitating and as far as taking it in its own direction, it goes nowhere. Always an A for effort though
