Lyrics: Mike Weldon
Music: N.M.E.
Retreat to my mind I want to travel, reaching all the depths within. Voyage of hallucination calling me a touch of sin. Got to know just how to rid the troubles of your every day. Everybody's got their own solution reaching for new ways to stray. Now that I'm inside I'll never come out, I'm slamming the door. Sanctuary from the world I'll return no more. Society far beyond itself, progress that just won't end. We're killing ourselves just to kill ourselves it's madness my friend. Lobotomy.

The breath of relief after he blinks, his mouth relaxes, suggesting he is no longer able to distinguish pain from pleasure. He’s enjoying it at that point.

@georgesisco4148

He couldn’t distinguish it to begin with it looks like it can’t be fathomed

@nrubsehcruhcehttel

A paradox as you put it, though a good point. How can he enjoy pain if he can no longer distinguish pain from pleasure? Voight has become a Cenobite and lost all humanity, and that is what we see

@invisi-bullexploration2374

Imagine like your consciousness and understanding of the universe expanding far beyond human levels. That has to be no pun intended, one Hell of a rush.

@CrniWuk

@@invisi-bullexploration2374 I imagine a Cenobite has the ability to experience reality in a way no normal living being can. They probably turn immense pain and other similar sensations in to pleasure. At least that's how I see it.

@kathryn0200

Is it lack a sensitivity or is it time. For me suffering is measured by lengths of time. A cut, toothache, cold sore, etc. These are suffering but only for a certain length of time. Maybe they can't feel time. Like its a constant "deep time" experience.
