I don't know if Thomas reads these comments, but I would like to tell him:

I haven't signed into Youtube for years since I stopped drumming semi-professionally, and have never bothered commenting on a video... until now.
The release of Thomas's new works (first One Million Voices, and now the Humanity album) marks a sense of creative purity which, in my opinion, would be difficult for almost anyone to match - and to hell with any stylistic authoritarianism which may object. Easily the next Hans Zimmer, but with less stylistic constraint and (dare I say) sometimes more emotional depth. But this is not about comparisons; Thomas is his own person and clearly aspires towards something which crosses boundaries.

The result is incredible - I gave up trying to write some prosaic fluff to say how much I appreciate 'those moments' where:
- Humanity's motif rallies for one last epic round
- when L'Appel drops
- One Million Voices in general
- And so much else: shout-outs to Mountain Call, Empire of Angels; Creation of Earth

Damn it man, keep going.

For me it was a few years ago. I was studying a mathematics course focused on logic and proof writing. I needed something to help me focus in the wee hours of the morning, when my iTunes playlist suggested the TSFH album Invincible. I clicked it with mild interest as I was focused on math... until the short track "Enigmatic Soul" played. At that moment I forgot the math and began to focus on this album. I've been an avid fan ever since.

I was listening to the Humanity albums today at work and listened to the track L'Appel Du Vide thought "Wow, that guitar is a dead ringer for Claudio, probably a coincidence" then I came home to search online and it blows my mind, he totally deserves it he's one of my absolute favorite guitarists in any genre atm...goes to show how expressive electric guitar can be if you can pinpoint a player just on a brief solo...it's those high notes and the vibrato and buttery smooth legato that tipped me off

I've been listening to Two Steps From Hell for over five years now. Somehow, Thomas still manages to subvert my expectations. I think I know what style a piece is going to be in, but then it changes (sometimes more than once). I love that I can still be surprised by music, which has existed for, well, a good few years. It's been God knows how long since I found TSFH but it's my go to when duty calls and the job must get done. From coordinating 300 people in a warehouse to serving my country and my people in the blazing heat of an ammunition factory, to doing my occasional side jobs doing construction this stuff is always in my ears.

And this track in particular speaks of the actual "call" that Slavs experience as a nature part of their day to day life.......thanks.

Every time I hear a new tune from Mr Bergersen, I swear it’ll be my favourite and extremely hard to top, and every time I purchase his albums before listening to any of the music, I am always proven wrong . Thank you,. This music since first I heard it in 2012 with TSFH has seen me through some very difficult fines, a symphonic delight for every mood one could care to have, and inspirational for writing novels. Here is to many more years I hope (touch wood) that you may compose for our pleasure. You, Phoenix and the crew have more thanks from me than you’ll ever know, and I can ever profess.
