She Blinded Me With Science
Thomas Dolby Lyrics

It's poetry in motion
She turned her tender eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony

Mm, but she blinded me with science
She blinded me with science
And failed me in biology, yeah-yeah

Now-uh, huh-huh
When I'm dancing close to her
Blinding me with science, science
Science

I can smell the chemicals
Blinding me with science, science
Science
Science

Mm no, but it's poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony

She blinded me with science
She blinded me with science
And failed me in geometry

When she's dancing next to me
Blinding me with science, science
Science

Mm-mm, mm-mm, mm

I can hear machinery
Blinding me with science, science
Science

Huh, it's poetry in motion
And now she's making love to me
The spheres are in commotion
The elements in harmony

She blinded me with science
She blinded me with science
And hit me with technology

Good heavens Miss Sakamoto, you're beautiful

I, I don't believe it
There she goes again
She's tidied up and I can't find anything
All my tubes and wires
Careful notes
And antiquated notions

But, it's poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony

Uh, she's blinding me with science
She blinded me with science
She blinded me with

Hah!
It's poetry in motion
She turned her tender eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony

Mmm - but she blinded me with science
"She blinded me with science!"
And failed me in biology
Yeah-eah!

Huh-huh!
When I'm dancing close to her
(Blinding me with science - science!)
"Science!"
I can smell the chemicals
(Blinding me with science - science!)
"Science!"

"Science!"
Mmm now but it's poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony

Mmm - but she blinded me with science
"She blinded me with science!"
And failed me in geometry
Huh-huh-huh-huh-huh

A few facts about this video:

- Thomas Dolby came up with the idea for the video before coming up with the song. He wrote the song just to have something to fit his "Home for Deranged Scientists" music video concept.

- The lab assistant in the video is Siobhan Barron, a vogue model and Steve Barron's producer and sister. Thomas met her when he was looking to hire Steve to director for the video. She looked at his video concept drawings, was impressed, and encouraged him to direct it himself.

- Magnus Pyke, the main scientist in the video, could not escape people coming up to him publicly and yelling "SCIENCE!!!". He lamented that people knew him better from She Blinded Me With Science then they did for his scientific work.

PS, please check out Dolby's album The Golden Age of Wireless. It's a wonderful piece of work and turned me into a huge fan of is. He has so many underrated songs.

This is up there in the 80est pantheon. Several other good ones in the replies. I also submit I Ran by Flock of Seagulls and I'll Melt with You by Modern English.

@Queens Kid uranium is a great song.

Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford just a fantastic song hair style and all. I read that the music producers forced musicians to wear long hair.
