Et pour les besoins de la cause
J'ai fait ma valise.
Quand j'ai eu dix-huit ans ferme
Adieu, j'ai quitté la ferme
Avant que ça me défrise.
Car pour zigouiller une poule
Ben, il fallait que je me soûle
Sachant qu'à la vue du sang
Je suis aux abonnés absents
Je m'évanouis.
J'ai trouvé dans ma chaussure
Un nécessaire de coiffure
Le jour de Noël.
Des ciseaux, un peigne en os
Une tondeuse, un fer, une brosse
Et le manuel.
Alors, j'ai nourri l'espoir
Tout en pressant sur la poire
Du vaporisateur
De tout jeter dans un torchon
Et avec ce balluchon
De changer de secteur.
J'ai fait ma valise.
À peine sauté du camion
Me suis retrouvé dans le bouillon
Ce fut délicieux
De friser la pharmacienne
Avec mon fer et mon peigne
Quant à ces messieurs
C'est toujours la même coupe
Celle de Riquet à la Houppe
Mais quand on se plaint
J'abandonne la mèche folle
Pour une bonne vieille coupe au bol
À la Duguesclin.
Parfois cette envie de fou
Celle de leur trancher le cou
Fait trembler ma main.
De leur tailler aux ciseaux
Les deux oreilles en biseau
J'en prends le chemin.
Mais pour zigouiller une poule
Ben, il faudrait que je me soûle
Avec du whisky
Sachant qu'à la vue du sang
Je suis aux abonnés absents
Je m'évanouis.
The song "Né dans une rose" by Thomas Fersen is a story about an unusual character who was born in a rose and has a passion for hairdressing. The singer of the song reflects on his life journey, beginning with leaving his family's farm when he is eighteen years old. The singer implies that he left because he could not stand the idea of killing a chicken for food, and he was frequently fainting at the sight of its blood. He mentions that he packed his bags and left for a career in hairdressing. The singer then talks about discovering a hairdressing kit in his shoe on Christmas day, which he takes as a sign to pursue his passion. He then starts cutting hair for anyone who will take him and finds himself in different places and situations.
The singer loves his work, but at times the temptation to use his scissors on people's ears in a non-haircutting manner is tempting. He even imagines cutting these people's ears in a crooked bias. However, he realizes that he is too faint-hearted to cut a chicken's head; therefore, the scissors remain unused on people's ears.
The song is a metaphor for not letting people's expectations define an individual's path in life. Rather, pursue something they genuinely love and creating their own identity. The singer's unique background from being born in a rose plant and his inability to handle blood has diverted him from a typical farming career to the Hairdressing industry.
