Here is some background information on Thomas Rhett from the Something To Do With My Hands Songfacts. Thomas Rhett grew up in the music industry by means of his singer-songwriter father Rhett Akins. Whilst studying business and communications at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Rhett formed a cover band and began playing frat parties and other gigs they could get. His dad persuaded him to take the stage one night at a Nashville showcase, and EMI Music's Ben Vaughn, the same publisher who had signed his father many years earlier, offered Rhett a publishing deal.
Rhett co-wrote the song "I Ain't Ready to Quit" on Jason Aldean's 2010 album My Kinda Party and signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records' Valory Music Group division in 2011.[2] In early 2012, he released his debut single, "Something to Do with My Hands". The song received a positive review from Taste of Country writer Billy Dukes, who called it "clever, but not so cheeky that the joke tires after a listen or three."[3]
Look What God Gave Her

But yeah, that's all that she's getting
Her song is on and she's spinning around, yeah
She got me drunk like Corona
Heart racing like it's Daytona
Ooh, I'm in Heaven, I swear, right now
And those eyes can hypnotize
Look what God gave her
How perfect He made her
She walks in the room
It's like He answered my prayers
The way that she moves
How could anybody blame her?
I know she's got haters
But it ain't her fault, nah
Look what God gave her
Ooh, ooh
It's like I heard angels singing
Like she came down from the ceiling
When she walked in here this evening, I thought, yeah
That girl one in seven billion
Got everyone in here feeling
Like there's a fire in this building, so hot
Got a smile on her angel face
I know I'll never lose my faith
Look what God gave her
How perfect He made her
She walks in the room
It's like He answered my prayers
The way that she moves
How could anybody blame her?
I know she's got haters
But it ain't her fault, nah
Look what God gave her
Ooh, ooh
Got that look in her eyes
Swear she fell right out the sky
Yeah, I think I've seen the light
Every kiss, I could die
It's like the heavens opened wide
Man, I swear I've seen the light
Oh, look what God gave her
How perfect He made her
She walks in the room
It's like He answered my prayers
The way that she moves
How could anybody blame her?
I know she's got haters
But it ain't her fault, nah
Look what God gave her
Ooh, ooh
Ooh look what God gave her
(Look what God gave her)
Ooh, ooh
Oh oh, look what God gave her
In Thomas Rhett's song "Look What God Gave Her," he describes a woman who he believes is perfection personified. The lyrics start with him saying that the woman in question does not need or want attention, but attention is all she gets. He goes on to say how he is entranced by her moves and the way she spins around while her song plays. He feels as though he is in heaven with her, and her eyes are hypnotizing, designed to blow his mind.
He then refers to her as a "one in seven billion girl" who has everyone feeling like there's fire in the building as soon as she walks in. Rhett seems to be taken with her beauty, from the smile on her face to the look in her eyes, which makes him think she fell from the sky. He feels as if he has seen the light with her and that she could be the answer to his prayers. The song wraps up with Rhett reiterating that she is perfect just the way God made her, and that it is not her fault that she has haters.
