1. From the first time he heard a DJ beat-mix acid house in 1987, Thomas Schumacher immediately knew that he wanted to be a part of dance music culture.

With a strong foundation in Detroit techno and House, Thomas has been an active - and eclectic - producer and DJ for over 15 years, and is one of the leading players on the international DJ circuit.

His international breakthough came on legendary techno label Bush Records in 1998 with the track “When I Rock”; unique at the time for fusing techno with a distinctive hip hop sample: In the same year Thomas was commissioned to compose the music for a staging of Shakespeare’s Hamlet at the Schauspiel Haus in Bonn, and he ended the year with his first solo artist album Electric Ballroom.

He followed this up with extensive international touring, numerous productions and remixes, and two more artist albums: Electric Avenue and Home, rated by de:Bug magazine as “…a bloody deep masterpiece”.

Soon after the release of Home, Thomas signed with Get Physical Music. The affiliation with Get Physical is set to continue in 2010 when Thomas releases his new album for the label in April.

Nowadays Thomas is a proud family man, and while he still spends plenty of his time in the arrivals and departure lounges of airports all over the world, he is honoured to travel to every corner of the globe to do his thing, and showcase the diversity that has become his trademark.

@@luisumana1238 No they weren't, actually, Wayans Bros threw their material out, they were just included in the writing credits for legal reasons despite never having officially worked on the script, which is the main reason why Scary Movie was serviceable, where Date Movie, which is both written and directed by Seltzerberg, was a complete disaster. They were involved in the writing of Spy Hard though.

Yea I agree, he started to go down hill with the Village but only because the movie failed the viewers expectations in a supernatural twist in the end. Instead of scary monsters got a retarded Adrian Brody in a costume.Despite the letdown it was still a good movie, and only after a second viewing many years later that I began to truly appreciate the film for what it is as a feature length twilight zone episode.After basically being raddled by the bad press and losing his footing so to speak his latest movie The Visit has found him back in true form. He may not be back at the level of the Sixth Sense or Unbreakable but The Visit is much more subtle and genuinely disturbing. If he can keep that pace and stick the kind of simple storytelling he started with he may still yet have great stories to tell in the future.

Honest I feel you the Visit not going to please everyone but it's a passable movie compared to a lot of shit that gets passed of for horror these days. Its no Sixth Sense but it does go in some disturbing areas like the dirty diaper scene , I mean my God. Do I think it's great no , do I think it's terrible no. There are some parts I think were not nessasery like the kid doing a comedic rap in the end because it took away from the impact of terror in the final act. But if you think The Visit is terrible you just haven't watched enough movies.

sparky10142 Duncan Jones did and it SUCKED. Aside from the awful acting, the writing was inconsistent and the movie was WAY TOO AFRAID to show violence or at least some PG-13 blood. I don't know how to respond to that without sounding rude or starting a word war with you, if you like the movie then I'm happy for you m8, if you really want to know why the movie is hated by almost everyone then maybe you should just look up a review. I can tell you in a nutshell the reasons I don't like it but this is only my opinion and if you feel differently then I'm very ok with that :).

For one the movie lost all of the shows wit and humor while adding nothing in return except for very butchered performances from almost all of the cast. None of the sets looked real, all the CGI was terrible, none of the fight scenes were well choreographed or fluid, and there never seemed to be any real feeling of threat to the characters and even if there had been I didn't care about any of them(even though I loved the characters from the show). I never really felt like there was a world that they were inhabiting, never really hated the bad guys and(I've said this already) never loved the good guys.

M. Night Shyamalan has a reputation for making crap movies now, if you look at his early career, he as making some very awesome and very vivid movies, but as time went on he started making worse and and worse movies. The Last Airbender is just one of a series of horrible films he's made. Although I and many many others think it's the worst, not just because it was a bad movie but because of how much potential it had, it could have easily become bigger then the Harry Potter movies!

Ok, that's the end of my rant. Please don't comment back butthurt, if you have some good reasons as to why I'm wrong then I would love to know them, but I would rather not just have another youtube tirade of hate posts and trolls. And you've earned an achievement trophy if you've read all of this, like for real!

Michael Bay's biggest failure in my mind is letting Megan Fox say "You've got a high-rise double-pump carburetor" when the shot if the engine was going to be of a cross-flow intake. You can't really say Michael Bay is a bad director. You may not like his movies, but for what he is hired to do he is one of the best in the business. Studios hire him to direct big glossy movies that will have a wide cross-sectional appeal and, most importantly, make a lot of money and he delivers almost every time. He makes no pretense of being this generation's Stanley Kubrick. He is a big-budget studio director/producer and that is the kind of movies he makes, and his movies make a lot of money because that's what they are supposed to do.

I don't feel Tyler Perry and Rob Zombie should have been listed here. The reason Perry was listed was, to me - undoubtedly, because his films have a very specific market segment in mind which, consequently, leads to everyone not in that market segment feeling like the films do not reach out to them.

Rob Zombie, on the other hand, had maybe one flop in his directorial career. The rest of his works were dark, gritty, brutal, and made you feel dirty for watching them; that is how horror movies SHOULD be.

Regardless of what people say, I liked The Happening. Make fun if you want, but at least it wasn't zombies or nuclear war. I thought it was a fresh idea for something besides your typical post-apocalyptic endings. He took a scientific approach to population-destroying world dominance and people scoffed. QUESTION For everything thats said about Ed Wood he's remembered (with affection) to today and was played by Johnny Depp which is pretty cool. Here they liken Uwe Boll to Wood, i've also heard a lot of people who liken Tommy Wiseau to Wood. My question is this; Who do you think is more likely to be remembered by history in a Wood-like way?

Uwe seems to make terrible movies that result in people hating both him and his work whereas Wiseau makes terrible movies but is usually spoken of fondly. Like a crazy uncle convinced that his artless scribbles are regularly stolen, sent through time and given to the masters to plagiarise. As soon as his dimension jumping morris minor is complete he will rectify the situation and the world will bask in his genius and apologise for the inconvenience. As opposed to crazy uncle Boll who just watches Fox "news" all day and loudly parrots every bigoted soundbite as undeniable fact.

Just because Michael Bay made Transformers and became sort of a Hollywood meme, it doesn't mean he's bad. Pain and Gain is a great comedy. And Shyalaman just doesn't deserve to be in this list. Many people hate him only because he doesn't make your everyday cliché horror/terror movie, like Sinister, or Woman in black. The 6th Sense and the Village are unique movies. You can love them or hate them, but they are unlike anything you've seen.

Brian Levant also directed the 1994 Flintstones movie with John Goodman and Rick Moranis in it. Also, Roland Emmerich should have been added as an honorable/dishonorable mention because he is exactly the same as Michael Bay in that he basically does the same movie over and over again but in different ways. Yes, he did do films like Stargate, Independence Day and The Patriot, but he has done more duds than good films. Also, Scary Movie was actually directed by Keenan Ivory Wayans, not Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. They only co-wrote the screenplay. Also to add that Martha Coolidge, who directed the Duff sisters in Material Girls, actually directed Rambling Rose, not Renny Harlin. Renny only produced that film.

Huge error in editing in this video. How in god's green earth do you get The Wayans Brothers confused with Friedberg and Seltzer? They contributed very little to Scary Movie. The majority of the jokes that were actually funny were written by the Wayans brothers. Hence when the Wayans left the franchise is started to suck. Who the heck is your editor? These tools deserve as little credit as possible for Scary Movie. Other than that I agree with a lot of these. Except for a few.

Like Renny Harlin. What is so so bad about him? He happened to direct one of the biggest flops of all time? That's not his fault. And if you actually see Cutthroat Island you'll see some really awesome pirate action that is imo the best I have ever seen on film. The movie itself is fairly mediocre but action is Renny's forte and he does it very well. And Ford Fairlane is an awesome movie. I don't care what anyone says. Dice Rules! And don't forget he directed Cliffhanger and Die Hard 2 as well. So I don't get the Harlin hate at all. The Covenant sucked I will give this list that. Other than Harlin I can understand the choices. And yes the new Hercules he is directing looks like ass. But watch his early movies in the 90's in the action genre and tell me he deserves to be on the list. Check out the Long Kiss Goodnight that's a movie starring Geena Davis directed by Harlin that really kicks ass. Plus it co stars Samuel L. Jackson as one bad ass mother fucker. Also his horror output in Prison with Viggo Mortensen and A Nightmare On Elm Steeet 4 are solid as well. I can think of only about 2 or 3 movies Harlin has directed that have really blew. Why he's on the list and not Paul "Wyld Stalyns" Anderson instead for his fan fiction Resident Evil movies starring his wife is beyond me.

I happen to not hate Michael Bay as much as the next guy I enjoy some of his films like Bad Boys and The Rock, but he is a style over substance director.

I also admit to enjoying Without A Paddle as well. No contest about number one though, but I thought a few director's were left off the list, like McG, Kevin Costner, and Oliver Megaton. How McG didn't even get an honorable mention is beyond me I mean he directed Catwoman and Charlie's Angels for chrissakes.

I didn't grand budapest was a Paul Andreson movie. (also: the way he portrayed Albert Wesker's death in last RE movie was awful. In movie he was killed by a door cutting his leg. In game, wesker was hit by a RPG while he was in swimming in lava and was trying to pull down chris' helicopter )

onlyone23km Look, no offense. But, as a comic book nerd and as a movie-goer, I just found Batman and Robin very offensive because this movie was around the time of the incredibly awesome Batman: The Animated series. And by making a Batman film in the late 90's look campy as the 1960's version, it's just really fuckin' stupid. Now, I wouldn't blame this on Schumaucher, I'd blame it on Warner Bros. for having a focus group working on making Batman too kid-friendly at that time just to sell more times. That's why, I don't think everyone will ever forgive Warner Bros. for ever making Batman and Robin in the first place.
