@Dan Romeiro Agreed. Dayseeker, Architects, Kyng, Shaman's Harvest, Seether, Thundermother, Halestorm - lots of great 21st century bands. Will they all be this current and inspired in their 70s as Sammy? We've yet to see.

Sammy was 25 when he was singing with Montrose in 1973. Today, 49 years later he's 74 and STILL has that voice. Unreal. And he's the coolest guy, never takes himself seriously, always easy going.

Because Sammy NEVER stopped. He never relies on cashing in on his glory years. He's always moving forward, doing new things, staying active, making NEW music. He's always had a positive attitude and lets bygones be bygones. I can honestly say I really admire this man. He's truly inspirational. Same goes with the rest of the guys in this band. Michael Anthony, Vic and Jason are all amazing.

Sammy, you continuously reinvent yourself every few years. There was the "pop" like outfits of the early 80's, then the 90's wild colors/prints loose fit clothes, then the beach/Cabo theme outfits bright casual stuff with sandals and now this look -the classic rocker look. Always a pleasant surprise to see what you're gonna do next. This is both in your appearance and in your music. I remember you said in an interview once that you switch your music to what you're feeling at the time and that you go through phases of what you're into at the moment. You're never stagnant. Never totally predictable. That's what makes you YOU. And that is what makes all of us love you so much.
