From there, the band would continue to rise in the charts. In 2007, they released their fifth full-length, The Flame in All of Us, which was produced by Ken Andrews (Beck, Chris Cornell, Pete Yorn). Arriving in 2009, the aggressive Welcome to the Masquerade, which would be the band's last release with Tooth & Nail, entered the Billboard Top 200 at number 35, peaking at number two on the Christian rock chart. It was their most successful album to date and would spawn the band's first live album, Live at the Masquerade. The group's next studio album, The End Is Where We Begin, was issued in 2012. It was their first album released entirely independently. Continuing the upward chart trajectory with each subsequent release, The End debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200, and claimed the top spots on both the hard rock and Christian charts. In late 2013, the band released Made in Canada: The 1998-2010 Collection, which included two new tracks. Thousand Foot Krutch remained independent into 2014, relying on crowd-sourcing for the release of the energetic Oxygen: Inhale, the first part of a pair of hard rock chart-topping LPs. The heavier Exhale followed in 2016, marking TFK's third consecutive Christian number one.

It takes a cut to heal the wound
And I don't even understand it
Things didn't go the way I planned it
But these neon lights led me to you
And I don't know what I was told
Or why I walk the darkest road
So burn me bright and let me go
Make me stronger on the inside
Hold me tight and just let go
'Cause I don't want it if I can't glow
My heart has grown right next to you
Your steady hands pulled me through
And every now and then I see it
The glimpse of what my life is meaning
But to do it right, you must let go
And I don't know what I was told
Or why I walk the darkest road
But now these eyes see streets of gold
So burn me bright and let me go
And make me stronger on the inside
And hold me tight and just let go
'Cause I don't want it if I can't glow
And burn me bright and let me go
And make me stronger on the inside
And hold me tight and just let go
'Cause I don't want it if I can't glow
The lyrics of Thousand Foot Krutch's song "Glow" are about finding oneself through a difficult journey with the help of someone else. The verses depict the search for an unknown person or thing, which leads the singer through a difficult path filled with wounds and darkness. However, the journey ultimately brings them to the person they were searching for, who helps them grow and see the meaning of their life. The singer realizes that it takes letting go of negativity and pain to get to where they want to be.
The chorus provides a metaphor for the singer's transformation. They want to be "burned bright" and then let go, to be made stronger on the inside. The idea is that only by going through pain and burning away negativity can they truly shine and "glow." The singer is asking to be held tightly to get through the process, but only if they can come out on the other side shining brightly.
Overall, the song encourages listeners to embrace their struggles and pain as a part of the journey toward self-discovery and growth. It emphasizes the importance of trusting someone to help you through difficult times and letting go of negative emotions to become a brighter, stronger version of oneself.

I think this CD has a refreshing sound and yes it's different from their previous releases but I love it just the same. Sometimes it's not about the heavy guitar riffs, as much as I love those, sometimes it's about the way the songs feed your soul.
