From there, the band would continue to rise in the charts. In 2007, they released their fifth full-length, The Flame in All of Us, which was produced by Ken Andrews (Beck, Chris Cornell, Pete Yorn). Arriving in 2009, the aggressive Welcome to the Masquerade, which would be the band's last release with Tooth & Nail, entered the Billboard Top 200 at number 35, peaking at number two on the Christian rock chart. It was their most successful album to date and would spawn the band's first live album, Live at the Masquerade. The group's next studio album, The End Is Where We Begin, was issued in 2012. It was their first album released entirely independently. Continuing the upward chart trajectory with each subsequent release, The End debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200, and claimed the top spots on both the hard rock and Christian charts. In late 2013, the band released Made in Canada: The 1998-2010 Collection, which included two new tracks. Thousand Foot Krutch remained independent into 2014, relying on crowd-sourcing for the release of the energetic Oxygen: Inhale, the first part of a pair of hard rock chart-topping LPs. The heavier Exhale followed in 2016, marking TFK's third consecutive Christian number one.
Heat Miser
Thousand Foot Krutch Lyrics

I'm Mister Sun
I'm Mister Heat Blister
I'm Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
I'm too much!
He's Mister Sun
He's Mister Heat Blister
He's Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch
Starts to melt in my clutch
He's too much!
Thank you!
I never want to see a day
That's under sixty degrees
I'd rather have it eighty, Ninety, one hundred degrees!
(spoken) Oh, some like it hot, but I like it REALLY hot! Hee hee!
He's Mister Green Christmas
He's Mister Sun
Sing it!
He's Mister Heat Blister
He's Mister Hundred and One
They call me Heat Miser,
What ever I touch Starts to melt in my clutch
I'm too much!
Too Much!
The lyrics of Thousand Foot Krutch's song Heat Miser are a reference to the popular Christmas movie, The Year Without a Santa Claus, and its two main characters: Mr. Heat Miser and Mr. Snow Miser. The song is a playful take on the character of Mr. Heat Miser, who is portrayed as a boastful, larger than life character who loves the heat and hates the cold. The lyrics also refer to Mr. Green Christmas and Mr. Sun, who are also characters in the movie.
The song's opening lines, "I'm Mister Green Christmas, I'm Mister Sun" are a reference to Mr. Sun, who is the father of Heat Miser and Snow Miser in the movie. The line "I'm Mister Hundred and One" is a reference to the high temperature that Heat Miser prefers. The repetition of the phrase "They call me Heat Miser" is a playful nod to the character's larger than life persona, and his tendency to refer to himself in the third person. The chorus, "Whatever I touch starts to melt in my clutch, I'm too much" reinforces his powerful nature, and his ability to control and manipulate his environment.
Overall, the song is a lighthearted tribute to one of the most beloved Christmas characters in popular culture, and Thousand Foot Krutch's interpretation adds a rock edge to the classic character.
