From there, the band would continue to rise in the charts. In 2007, they released their fifth full-length, The Flame in All of Us, which was produced by Ken Andrews (Beck, Chris Cornell, Pete Yorn). Arriving in 2009, the aggressive Welcome to the Masquerade, which would be the band's last release with Tooth & Nail, entered the Billboard Top 200 at number 35, peaking at number two on the Christian rock chart. It was their most successful album to date and would spawn the band's first live album, Live at the Masquerade. The group's next studio album, The End Is Where We Begin, was issued in 2012. It was their first album released entirely independently. Continuing the upward chart trajectory with each subsequent release, The End debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200, and claimed the top spots on both the hard rock and Christian charts. In late 2013, the band released Made in Canada: The 1998-2010 Collection, which included two new tracks. Thousand Foot Krutch remained independent into 2014, relying on crowd-sourcing for the release of the energetic Oxygen: Inhale, the first part of a pair of hard rock chart-topping LPs. The heavier Exhale followed in 2016, marking TFK's third consecutive Christian number one.
I See Red

They wash away the world that I've seen covering up my mind
And I can push the walls away untill they're out of sight and mind
But I'm not strong enough to stand alone here in this tide
I don't want you, I'm not trying
I wish it would just go away
I see red... I see red
These situations make me feel so cold
It's like I've been replaced by someone I don't know
And I can't say the words untill I've said all that I can say
But without you I'm a fraction of who I'm supposed to be
Breathe me in and take me under
Crack these walls and let's start again
And then I see red... I see red
I see red... I see red
I see red... I see red
I see red... I see red
We can run we can hide, we can live without it
It's the same in us, it takes the blame in us
We can love we can hate, we can live without it
We're not alone, there's more than this
We can run we can hide, we can live without it
It's the same in us, it takes the blame in us
We can love we can hate, we can live without it
We're not alone, there's more than this
There's nothing left, but the sound of my heart
There's nothing left, but the strings on this guitar
Take it all, take the hurt and heartache
Help me start again... ohhh
There's nothing left, but the sound of my heart
There's nothing left, but the strings on this guitar
Take it all, take the hurt and heartache
Help me start again
We can run we can hide, we can live without it
It's the same in us, it takes the blame in us
We can love we can hate, we can live without it
We're not alone, there's more than this
We can run we can hide, we can live without it
It's the same in us, it takes the blame in us
We can love we can hate, we can live without it
We're not alone, there's more than this
In this song, Thousand Foot Krutch describes a feeling of being overwhelmed and disconnected from reality. The band uses powerful metaphors to convey this message, such as "These waterfalls I've seen a million times / They wash away the world that I've seen covering up my mind." Here, the waterfalls represent a numbing sensation, where the singer is trying to wash away the thoughts that are lingering in their mind. Despite being able to push away the thoughts, the singer is unable to stand alone, creating a feeling of vulnerability.
Another metaphor used in the song is "And then I see red..." Here, the color red represents a surge of emotions that are boiling within the singer. The emotions are so intense that they are the only thing the singer can focus on. Despite trying to get rid of these emotions, they take over, creating a feeling of loss of control.
The song ends with a message of hope, where the band sings, "We're not alone, there's more than this." Here, they remind the listener that they are not alone in their struggles and that there is always hope for a better future.
