Overture
Three Dog Night Feat. London Symphony Orchestra Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Captain Walker
Didn't come home.
His unborn child
Will never know him.
Believe him missing
With a number of men.
Don't expect
To see him again.

The lyrics suggest that Captain Walker is missing along with a number of other men, and that his family and loved ones have given up hope on ever seeing him again. A Korean conductor leading a Japanese Philharmonic playing a song written by an Italian composer. This is how the world should be. Music unites all :)

@ammas6452

Japanese and south Koreans are close ..pity they didn't have good composers there !

I've probably watched this 100+ times and love it every time. Between the conductor's actions, the gray bearded cello player and the first violin the enjoyment they are all having with this wonderful piece makes it just a special video. Thanks to all of them for their performance.

@dalebrown322

One thing that stands out when watching it is that the conductor has no music in front of him and no one in the symphony is looking at the conductor but they are all in sync.

@JMARTIN1947

This video should be taken down. There is not enough racial diversity in the orchestra. 😩

I, too, loved this performance, and especially noted the passion of the lead violinist (on the right hand of the conductor). She almost bounces out of her seat when the beat picks up. Impressive...I love PASSIION IN MUSIC and IN IT'S PERFORMERS!!
